I can't seem to decide
my heart fell for you at once
throwing aside all caution
while my head
rang all those warning bells
I was going to duck away
but you started to turn
and I was frozen in time
my heart said 'yes'
my head screamed 'leave'
but I couldn't move
and when your gaze met mine
I was lost in your dark eyes
we spoke
and your voice melted my heart
your smile
muted my head's ranting
and you unknowingly
held me in the palm of your hand
it was beautiful
but now I am terrified
and so conflicted
because my heart says 'stay'
while my head says 'run'
