Chapter 14 ~ Surprise

The next morning, Shivaay was the first to wake up. As he opened his eyes slowly, he was shocked to find himself next to Anika. Not just because she was next to hin but because Anika's hand was around his waist and her head on his arm.

He tried getting up from his bed but his efforts went completely futile. Anika then held him even more tighter surprising him. Shivaay tried waking her up but that was also not working.

He was still thinking what to do when she voluntarily loosened her grip all by herself and turned to the other side. He thanked God for that moment and left to freshen up.

~ Flashback ~

All the rituals were completed and it was already late. Anika was the first to go and sleep on the bed because she was too tired. Shivaay who was shocked seeing Anika on his bed said, "Oh hello Ms.Anika!"
"What is it billuji!?" asked an irritated Anika trying to sleep.
"Don't you call me that!" Shivaay said back irked.

"Then don't you try to wake me up!" She said back reflecting his tone.
"This is my bed okay!" Shivaay complained like a possessive kid when Anika said back, "Dadi told this is my room too, so technically this bed is mine. If you want I can do a favour, you can take that part of the bed"

"No thank you!" Shivaay huffed in anger and left to sleep on the couch at one corner of their room. To his dismay, he couldn't sleep at all and didn't even remember when he went and slept next to her.

Flashback Ends

A little later, Anika woke up but she was still rolling on the bed waiting for her Latte as usual. Still not opening her eyes, she murmured, "Piyu where are you!? You know I can't sleep without you na."
It was loud enough when a voice reacted to her statement, "Piyu!? Who is she?"

Anika got up with a jerk hearing a not so familiar voice all of a sudden.
"Bhai!" She almost shouted as she opened her eyes but then realized she was in the Oberoi mansion and that she was in Shivaay's room.
"Anika! Are you fine!?" Shivaay asked as he freaked out seeing Anika in that state.
"I'm... I'm sorry" She said and left without uttering another word to freshen up. Shivaay didn't understand her for a minute or two.

"What went wrong with her!? And who is Piyu!?" He thought but that didn't help him get answers.

Anika freshened up and came out wearing a beautiful saree when she found a note with latte kept on the table.

~ Note ~

"I'm sorry Anika! I know it's difficult for you to adjust all of a sudden! Take your own time. Please have this latte and come down!

If you don't mind, Can you tell me who Piyu is!? So that I can contact her and bring her home!"

Reading the note, Anika chuckled at the question Shivaay posted in the last.

"Aww I didn't know billuji is this sweet! I have never seen this shade of his." She thought, smiling to herself.

As she descended down the stairs, she saw all the family members waiting in the hall for her. Shivaay didn't know what happened to him but he was not able to take his eyes off his wife.

"Did you sleep well puttar!?" asked Dadi when she nodded her head in positive holding her ears, "Sorry dadi, I woke up very late"
"That's okay puttar! You needn't apologize." Dadi said patting her cheeks.

"Did bhabhi have a nice sleep bhaiyya!?" Rudra asked Shivaay very innocently but Shivaay mistook the meaning of the question. (Arrey Woh wala meaning! 😂)
"Shut up Rudra! You are still a kid. Now just stay quiet!" He said when Rudra fake cried, "I'm not a kid bhaiyya!"

The next moment, Rudra ran to his Bhabhi when she asked "What happened Rudy!?"
"Bhabhi, Bhaiyya is calling me a kid!" Rudra said quite irritated.
"Billuji, don't you try calling my Rudy a kid!" She said faking anger.
"I know my bhabhi always supports me." Rudra hugged her.

"Anika, hope Rudra doesn't trouble you much!" Jhanvi rolled her eyes looking at her son's drama when Rudra groaned, "Mom!"
"No no Jhanvi ma, he is my little brother." said Anika pinching Rudra's cheeks.
"Bhabhi! Please make protein shake for me! Please" he asked making a puppy face when Pinky interrupted him, "Rudra, don't trouble my bahu. Your bhaiyya is there na, ask him!"

"Ma, it's okay! I'm gonna make food for all of you. Just wait for sometime, I will be right back!" She said smiling to which everyone nodded except Shivaay. Rudra waved his hand to Anika as she was going to the kitchen and said, "Okay bhabhi, after breakfast you have a big surprise from us!"

Looking at Anika leaving, Shivaay was super tensed then.
