Chapter 55 ~ Romantic one

Everyone were busy with the haldi (turmeric) preparations the next day. Khushi's grandmother was not happy at all when she got to know Arnav and Khushi were to sit together for the ceremony.

"I accepted however the functions were done till now. But Haldi ceremony will happen separately for the bride and groom." Khushi's grandmother stated.
"But Kasturi..." Dadi tried convincing her but she didn't let her.
"No Kalyani! Not this time." Kasturi spoke sternly.

"Nani ji sorry to interrupt but if you don't mind, we can have the function together but, Bhai and Khushi can be separated by a veil in between them?" Anika asked to which Kasturi said calming herself,"Okay fine Anika puttar. I just don't want them to see each other directly until the marriage gets over."

Everyone felt thankful that Khushi's grandmother accepted and, secretly thanked Anika as she convinced Kasturi.

~ Haldi ~

As said, Arnav and Khushi were sitting opposite to each other while Gauri and Om took the responsibility of holding the veil in between them. Krithi here was so curious to know about the turmeric paste kept aside for the bride and groom.

Naira was busy talking to Khushi about something when Krithi left to her favourite there, Shivaay.
"Billu uncle where is Bubbly?" She asked so cutely that Shivaay couldn't tell her anything.
"Demand nicely Krithi! Your billu uncle promised you that he would get you Bubbly right. By the way he is very good at cracking deals!" said Anika as she passed by them.

Shivaay groaned at Anika's statement. He was not knowing how to manage Krithi when she left from there seeing her father talking to a random girl which she didn't like at all.

Anika left to a room with the Haldi as she had to mix oil into it. Shivaay followed her behind as he couldn't digest Anika not supporting him.

In one of the rooms, Anika was mixing oil to the turmeric (haldi) and was in a hurry as the function was getting delayed when Shivaay entered silently.

"Anika why the hell didn't you support me when Krithi was asking me for Bubbly!" Shivaay almost hollered that Anika freaked out not expecting him.
"What the hell Shivaay! Can't you speak softer? And who asked you to get into a deal with her?" Anika shouted back and in anger, she took the extra Haldi from another bowl and applied it on his face completely.

"Fhat the wuck!" Shivaay shouted in shock to which she said smirking,
"This is for freaking me out!"
She then continued with her work not bothering him.

Shivaay who wanted to give back pulled Anika towards him all of a sudden that she landed on his well built body. There was no gap for even air to fill in between them. Their proximity was increasing and they could feel their hot breaths.

The situation was no more a fight nor a give back, instead it turned into a romantic one unknowingly.

Slowly Shivaay rubbed his cheek against hers making her feel butterflies flying in her stomach.

Finishing on both sides of her cheeks, he started running his palm dipped in haldi on her hands. She couldn't help herself anymore and hugged him closing her eyes and losing control over her body.

They were in such an intimate position that suddenly they heard a knock at the door. That's when they realized what was happening to them.
"Bhabhi? Are you in there? Why is the door closed!" Rudra asked from outside wondering.

Shivaay and Anika felt thankful that he locked the door. She silently said a "Thank you" and signed him to hide somewhere.
After minutes, she opened the door not before removing the haldi and ensuring that Shivaay was inside the washroom.

"Bhabhi! I thought you weren't there. Why didn't you open the door quickly?" Rudra exclaimed before asking.
"Actually Rudy, I didn't hear you!" Anika said trying to cover up.
Rudra started laughing now, asking "Bhabhi, there's haldi on your right cheek! You just had to mix it not apply"

"May be it was by mistake!" Anika said praying God secretly that he shouldn't ask anything further.
"It's already late and everyone are waiting. You just go bhabhi I will join you!" saying Rudra was about to open the washroom door.
