Chapter 57 ~ Trust me

Kasturi was tensed when Anika assured "I promise I will be on time with the nose pin Nani ji. You don't worry!"
"Anika billu please be careful." Dadi said not feeling good about the current situation to which they nodded.

"Anu!" Arnav called out and pulled her into a hug.
"Bhai don't worry! Everything will go fine." she said when he said back concerned, "I'm worried about you princess. Should you go?" He asked her.
"I don't want to take any risk for my Bhai's wedding! So I have to!" Anika smiled at her brother when he said worried "Please be careful!"

In the car, Anika was very much tensed about the same matter that she forgot to bring her phone while Shivaay knew what was running in her mind. She was fidgeting with her fingers when he placed his hand on hers.

"Anika we'll make this out on time! Don't worry." he said while she smiled at him weakly.
"Shivaay I'm sorry I was rude to you a while back!" she said feeling bad.
"It's okay if you call me billu!" saying he winked at her making her smile once again.

They reached the jewellery shop in less than an hour because of Shivaay's driving. Quickly selecting a nose pin for her brother's bride, Anika and Shivaay started back. They were in the car very much relaxed by then but both didn't realize Anika didn't cling on her seatbelt. They were randomly talking when Shivaay got a phone call.

"Hello Rudra! We are fine. We finished our work and we are coming back." Anika said as she picked the call.
Rudra relaxed when Arnav took the phone from him asking, "Anu! You left your phone and Shivaay didn't pick his calls till now. You know how tensed we were!?"

Now both of them glared at each other as they thought they were responsible individually for the mistake they made but in minutes, they realized both were at mistake.

"Okay drive safe." saying Arnav hung the call still not feeling good or say tensed about his sister, while Shivaay smiled sheepishly and so did Anika.

All the family members were finally relaxed when they heard from ShivIka.
"Khushi di is in the room getting ready Garima aunty. She wanted to talk something to you!" Gauri said while Khushi's mom left.
"Ma ji, we have to discuss something important" Pranavi said to Dadi when the Oberois and Chowdharys left from there.

Arnav was not really in a mood to do anything. The function was about to start in half an hour and he was still not ready.

He was walking restlessly outside the palace waiting for Anika to reach when Om and Rudra walked to him.
"Arnav Bhai! The Pooja is to start in half an hour and you are still not ready?!" Rudra asked when Arnav didn't react much and continued being restless.
Om stopped him asking, "Arnav I know you are tensed about bhabhi. Bhai will be back safely with bhabhi. Don't you trust our brother?"

"I do trust Shivaay Om but I don't trust my feelings. I never felt like this ever before for Anu. It's a weird feeling, something is not right." he said rubbing his chest.
"Shivaay bhaiyya will bring back bhabhi safely. I trust my feelings and my brother. Now please don't let Khushi Bhabhi feel bad. She will not feel nice if she sees you like this." Rudra spoke out of maturity surprising Om and they left inside, Arnav being convinced.

Parallel to their talks here, the drive was very silent as Anika didn't speak anything all the while to Shivaay's wonder.
"Anika are you fine?!" Shivaay asked confusing her.
"What do you mean?" She asked when he said "I mean that you are too silent today which you usually never are!"

"Shivaay, I don't understand you. If I'm silent it's a problem and if I'm not silent then also it's a problem! What do you want me to do?" Anika asked irritated.
"Anika chill I just asked you casually." Shivaay said understanding her not so pleasant mood when she realized she was not in good terms.

"Shivaay I'm really sorry! I don't know what's wrong with me but I feel weird that something is gonna happen. And we just have thirty minutes left for the pooja to start. Hope we reach before time." Anika said in a low tone.
"I promise that I will not let anything go wrong. Trust me!" he said looking at her to which her mind voice said,
"I trust you Shivaay, more than myself!"

She smiled at him in acknowledgement but in a fraction of seconds, the scenario changed and a loud shout was heard.
