Chapter 8:
Y/N POV
You and Daniel rush back to the house, and as you open the door, you see that Jack isn't with them.
"Where did Jack go?" You ask frantically.
"He drove down to the beach, I think," Zach replied.
Daniel, knowing what's going through your mind, hands you the keys.
You rush to the car, and the whole drive down you plan in your head what you're going to say to Jack. You park the car and rush down to the beach. It's empty except for jack at the water's edge. You run to him and you're almost there when he turns around.
"Wait what are you do--" Jack doesn't even get to finish his sentence before you hug him.
"I am so sorry for leaving you last night. I was just so nervous and I didn't know what to say. I was tired and you surprised me. But, I like you, too. I have for a long time, but I haven't been able to admit it to myself. And I didn't mean to avoid you today. I was just trying to sort out my feelings and what I should say to you. But I figured it out. I like you too." You say all of this hoping he understands.
Jack stands there speechless. You can't tell how he is feeling.
"Are you mad because I--" You don't have the time to finish what you are saying before he kisses you, cutting you off. When it's over you smile at him, and you spend the rest of the day on the beach, talking.
Sorry, it's so short, but whew that left us shook.
