Season 2 Chapter 9

Jack's POV

After spending almost an entire day at the hospital it was recommended by the doctor that I go home and rest for a while. I really didn't want to, but after talking to the doctor for a few moments I realized how exhausted I was. Y/N's mother and sister were there with her for the day so she wasn't alone. I decided to sleep for a while, but I woke up an hour later to the phone ringing.

"Hello?" You answer the phone.

"Hello, this is Matthew Drake, Y/N's doctor."

"Hello! Um, yes is there something I can do for you?" I immediately asked.

"Yes, Y/N has been almost conscious for about twenty minutes, we think she may wake up soon." He replied. I hung up the phone without even saying goodbye. I rushed out the door to my car, and drove so fast I must have broken the speed limit by at least twenty miles an hour. I ran to her room.

Daniel's POV

I hadn't left the hospital even after the rest of the boys including Jack did. I wanted to be there when Y/N woke up before she got the completely wrong idea when Jack told her I said "I love you". I had to clear things up first. I didn't want her to hate me.

I sat by her bedside for hours, doctors and nurses came and went. I felt myself drifting off to sleep when I heard another doctor come in. He said something about her vitals being better, and the possibility of her waking up was gradually increasing. I tried to smile, but I was so tired it was hard not to just close my eyes. I was about to leave when I saw her arm move. I was amazed. Then her eyes opened. I was completely in shock, and I immediately called for a nurse.

Y/N POV

You opened my eyes and saw a doctor standing next to you.

"Welcome back, Y/N." He smiled. What was happening?

"What--where am I?" You ask.

"You're in a hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania." He responds. A boy came into the room. "Well that was quick." The doctor said.

"Yeah, can we have a moment alone?" He asked.

"Well, of course." The doctor said. You were about to ask the boy who he was when your memories came flooding back. The car crash, Jack, everything. The boy standing in front of you was Daniel. Why was he here?

"Y/N, I've been in love with you since the minute I met you, and I can't stand that you're with Jack. It kills me every time you two are together, and I'm not saying you should break up I just need you to know." He paused for a moment, then quickly left. What just happened? Your mind was still a little fuzzy, and comprehending what Daniel had just said was hard enough as it is.

Jack's POV

I got to Y/N's door when, again, I saw Daniel. How did her beat me here, again? I opened the door quietly, so Daniel or Y/N won't see me, and I noticed that Y/N was awake. I want to go over and tell her I'm sorry a million times, but I decided to hear Daniel out. Maybe it was time to hear his side, and I was tired of being mad at him. He told her how he couldn't take seeing Y/N and I as a couple, and that killed me. I felt awful, I never knew he loved her this much for this long...The minute he paused after he stopped talking I quickly left the room and sat in a chair outside her room. I had to talk to him.
