12 - 4 Years In The Making
For four years in Vancouver, i worked my way up hanggang maging store supervisor ako ng isa'ng kilala na grocery chain sa Canada. Hawak ko lahat ng branch within a certain city, at medyo matrabaho pero worth it ang sweldo.
Madami ako naging kaibigan, pero never ako nagka boyfriend. At madaming beses pa.
But i made my choice. Magsasawa din sya sa akin. Saan ako pupulutin? This has been my plan all along. Kahit sila Mama at Kevin naguluhan, i just explained myself tapos umiiwas na ako sa topic.
Bihirang bihira din ako makapag usap with the girls. The firs few years we're a struggle for me.
Two years old na yung anak nila na si Benedict. Nagvivideo chat kami minsan kila Mama at Kevin.
"Ma'am, Mr. Turner is ready to see you." Our company President's secretary called me after ten minutes of waiting.
May pinasa kasi ako na proposal sa managing director at ipapasa daw sa mas mataas dahil baka ma aprubahan. And now.. di ko alam ang magiging result pero sana, sana positive ang result.
"Thank you." Nginitian ko yung secretary tapos nagtuloy na.
Out company President is actually the son of the owner. Si Julian agad ang naalala ko. Automatic na ba ito? He's very good looking man in his forties at happily engaged na ito sa fiancee nito na actress sa Canada.
"Good Morning Ms. San Sebastian. Have a seat, please."
"Good Morning too, Mr. Turner." I smiled at him.
"So Mr. Harison sent me your proposal and i just read it yesterday. I really like your idea, but what i want to know is that, do you think that your four year experience is enough for you to dip in your feet in this business?" He was serious. Kakabahan na sana ako peri determinado ako.
"Actually, at first i was also having doubts about it, but then i thought, some people even do business without even training in that certain field yet they succeeded. It's not about luck, but it's how you wreally want your business to succeed. My experience in this field will certainly grow the more i am into it." It's not a rehearsed answer. I really hope he will consider.
He nod. "I like your answer. But what would happen if it fails?"
"Failing won't be an option, Sir. I am not just bragging about it, but even though i was already four years out of Philippines, i know what people wants and needs. I alreay included in the proposal the plan i need to execute before i start the venture." Confident na sagot ko.
"That was actually brilliant. I want this to happen. But you see, even though this isn't the first time that Bliss Mart will be branched out in the country, this is the first time that it will be branch out in Asia, so i hope you understand my concern." I really like that he's blunt. Business is business. Walang ligoy.
I explained my side hanggang sa hindi ko na namalayan na ang tagal na pala naming nagpapalitan ng kuro kuro.
"Mr. Turner, your fiancee Ms. Jones is on the line three." The intercom clicked.
24 hour shop sya, peeo hindi lang sya confenience store dahil may iba ibang food and drinks from other nations na tinitinda.
