I woke up on a hard and rather uncomfortable bed. The room was painted white and were surprisingly clean. Other than the thin bed I layer on and the chair and table where the boy sat, the room had no furniture.
The room had shelves of weapons. One with grenades, one with knives and daggers and one with an assortment of guns. I felt terrified being in this room filled with things that could kill me.
It was silent until the man spoke up, "I'm Sean."
He walked up to me and I backed up onto the wall which the bed was pushed up against.
"Come on, princess. I'm not going to hurt you."
"Don't call me that," I spat venomously.
He smirked and folded his arms, leaning back in his wooden chair, "Would you rather I call you strawberry?"
My throat closed up and tears formed in my eyes. I shook my head violently and he frowned . He sat up and walked over to me with a sandwich and a glass of water which I assumed was for me. He outstretched his hand with the food and I looked at it before glaring at him.
"It's not poisoned," he sincerely smiled and I rolled my eyes.
I pulled my knees up to my chest and wrapped my arms around it. He broke piece of the sandwich off and shoved t in his mouth. He chewed and swallowed before smiling.
"See. Plus it's you're favorite, Jessie."
My breath caught in my throat, "How do you know my name?"
He shrugged before handing me the food which I reluctantly accepted since it was late and my stomach started to grumble. "I know a lot about you."
He rambled on about what he knew and I tried to get my phone from my back pocket. I cursed and I realized he probably took it from me when I was out.
My head turned to face him quickly when I heard his name.
"I know that Andrew was you're true love and that he didn't cheat on you. I know-"
I cut him off, "What? What do you mean he didn't cheat on me?"
He sighed, "Hailey hacked his phone and sent messages to it making it look like they actually had a conversation."
I felt like the biggest fool in the face of the earth. How could I have not believed him? I should have known that he loved me too much to hurt me like that."
I lost my appetite and pushed the ham and cheese sandwich away.
"You're not gonna eat it?" I stared at him blankly and he teased, "I spent a long time making that."
I glared at him. He kidnapped me and brought me to this place. He was probably going to rape and kill me.
I don't know why I wasn't even screaming. It was probably because I didn't want to get hurt or I knew that nobody would be able to help me.
The worst part was that I actually felt safe with him.
No...I can't. He took me away from everyone I loved. He took me away from Andrew.
He dusted off his pants and extending his hand for me, "Let's go meet the boss and he'll answer all the questions I know you have."
I looked at his hand in disgust and stayed in my position.
"Jessie," he said threateningly.
I rolled my eyes and he pulled a pocket knife from his jeans and pointed it to me. "I don't want to hurt you. But you're being very stubborn."
My heart pounded in my chest and I stood up slowly. He grabbed my arm and walked me out of the room.
We passed several metal doors and I heard grunts and punches coming from behind one. Hopefully they were just working out or something.
We approached a metal door that said the boss in block letters.
He knocked and entered and he took my hand much to my protest and we entered. The man behind the table looked like he had a certain authority and looked kind of scary. He had grey hair and blue eyes. All his furniture was wooden and polished and a golden name plaque which said Edward.
There were two white chairs in front of his desk and he sat on an office chair. There was a large window which overlooked the city on one side of the room and a bookshelf opposite of it.
The room itself was white and had a grey accent wall.
The man walked me to a seat and I reluctantly sat as well as him.
He leaned forward and smirked. "Hello, Jessie. I see you've met my associate, Sean."
I keep my eyes on the wall behind the man whose name is apparently Edward.
"Let's cut to the chase. We're a group of elite spies that take down dangerous criminals. IV been watching from the sidelines and I think you'll be a perfect addition to our team."
"Oh and I'm supposed to say yes? You took me from my family!"
"Only your mom."
"My friends!"
"You didn't have any."
"You shit the hell up because if you feel I'm joining this dumb-"
He had a knife to my neck in a matter of seconds. My breath hitched in my throat and my pulse raised.
"We weren't asking...I wasn't asking."
I sucked in a sharp intake of air, "What do you want?" I whispered, letting a tear fall.
He moved the weapon and gave it to me, "That's a dagger...I want you to have it."
He kept his hand outstretched until I took it.
"What if I don't accept your offer?"
His eyes turned dark, "You didn't want to know."
I stood up, "You guys just go around killing people! And you don't get caught?"
"Sit down!" His voice boomed and I shrunk back into my seat.
"We're teamed up with the police force and they help clean up our messes."
"I'm not-"
"If you refuse I'll kill everyone you love!" He smirked and leaned back, "Starting with Andrew."
My breath hitched and tears fell as I violently shook my head. I didn't want to remorselessly murder people but I had to if I wanted to save the people I love.
"Fine," I whispered.
He smirked and said, "Good. From now on you'll be known as Faith Mitchell."
