Summer Love (Hayes and Nash fan fic)

Chapter 2

As I walked in I saw Skylynn. She must have came in when I was talking to Cameron.

"Hi Lexie" she yelled as she ran upstairs.

I then went into the living room and sat down on the couch and pulled out my phone. I went to my messages and thought about what happened between me and Hayes. We are best friends and now he is mad at me. I got up and went to the guest room. I stood outside the door. I could hear Hayes and Nash talking.

"So what's going on with you and Salara" I heard Nash say with sarcasm.

"I really don't know anymore" Hayes sounded like he was really mad.

Just then I knocked on the door and walked in. They both were sitting there staring at me. I felt really awkward.

"I'll leave you two alone" Nash said walking out

I sat down on the bed on the opposite side than where Hayes was sitting. We both were looking down at the floor in silence. I didn't know what to say or what to do. I knew he was mad at me.

"I'm sorry" I whispered hoping he didn't hear me

"It's ok, it's not all your fault it's mine also. I shouldn't have done that with Salara anyway"

"Well I don't care if you like her or if you two are dating. I guess I got jealous and I didn't think I liked you that way."

"Well......I.....I....I.....I saw you and Cameron talking outside. I know you like him I could tell."

I didn't know what to say. He looked at me as if he was about to cry. He can't be mad at me for that because the same thing happened with him but with Salara. I layed down on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

"Well, why is this getting in the way anyway?" I said looking at him

He didn't answer he just stared at the wall in silence. Does he like me that way?

"Well Lexie. I have liked you for as long as I can remember. You were always there for me when no one else was you have always been my best friend and I didn't want you to know that I liked you and have it ruin our friendship."

"Then what happened between you and Salara?"

"We are just friends."

"Well it's getting late I better get to bed goodnight" I said walking out of the room.

I started walking upstairs and saw that Nash fell asleep on the couch watching tv. I went and turned the tv off and went back upstairs. When I walked into my room I saw that Skylynn fell asleep on my bed. I layed down by her and pulled out my phone. I had 2 messages from Cameron and my mom.

Cameron😃: Hey do you want to hang out tomorrow?

To Cameron: Yeah come over anytime.

Mom☀️: I am going somewhere with some friends I'll be back tomorrow.

To Mom: Ok see you tomorrow

I got up and plugged my phone in and I got right back in bed. I closed my eyes while thoughts of Hayes ran through my head. I finally ended up falling asleep.
