Summer Love (Hayes and Nash fan fic)

Chapter 14

We slowly pulled away and his big brown eyes stared into mine. He had a small grin on his face. He then turned around and zipped the tent back up and we sat and talked while everyone else was eating dinner. Tomorrow was the day we were leaving. I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open. He had his arms wrapped around me and I was laying on his chest. Before I knew it I fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up and started packing. Cameron was still asleep and slightly snoring. I got all my stuff packed and before he woke up I changed into some black leggings with a blue V neck t shirt. I put my hair up into a messy bun and called it good. I grabbed my bags put them in the cars and just slipped my black flip flops on and went back to the tent. Cameron was lying down and I figured he just woke up. I went over to him and kissed him on the cheek.

"Good morning babe" I said excited

"What are you so excited about?" He asked giggling

"We are finally leaving today!" I shouted

"Oh yeah, I was wondering why it was so empty in here" he replied

He got up and he had black sweats on with a sweatshirt. Everyone was already packed up and ready to go. We all got in the car and drove off. When we got home I ran in and showered. After I was all done with that and got ready I came downstairs and noticed Cameron went home. He probably went home to clean up. I didn't do anything with my hair and decided to just let it air dry and go wavy. I usually never did that but I haven't done it in a while so I thought I would. I put on barely any makeup on. I laid down on my bed and pulled my phone out to see I had a message from Cameron.

Cameron😃: my mom wanted me home. Maybe we can do something tomorrow?

To Cameron: Ya that's what I thought, and that sounds great!

I went downstairs and found Hayes on the couch on his phone. I went over and sat down by him.

"Hey did you have fun on the trip?" I asked

"Yeah it was a lot of fun!"

"Yeah, how's you and Salara?"

"I don't know"

"What do you mean?"

"She told me she didn't want to be together anymore because she thinks we should date other people first" He answered almost crying.

"It sounds like she just wants to make sure you two are right for each other."

I said hugging him

Hayes POV

I miss Salara so much! Even though she is two years older than me. What did I do wrong?

"Lexie, do you think she didn't want to be with me because I am younger than her."

"No, if you love someone age doesn't matter. Well of course if she was like 18 and you were like 10 then maybe but I don't think so. I'm almost 18 and you are 16 and when we dated it didn't matter to me."

"I guess..."

Maybe she was right why would she have dated me if she was worried about age.
