What does it mean to be me?
It means
I have more than one nationality
I have lived half of my life in one country
Another half in an another
I have no siblings
I have no known cousins
I have maternal grandparents
That I barely talk to
I wished I didn't have to talk to them
I had two paternal grandparents
That I would call on the phone all the time
But now it is only down to one I have to call
The other I can talk to without getting a reply
What else does it mean to be me?
It means
I compete in sports actively
I study academics greatly
It means
I don't have a social life
I am excited to go to school
It's the only time I see my friends
It means
My trust level used to be very high for others
But then I let myself fall into a trap
To only have my heart broken
To only have my spirit trodden on
To only have thought devils occupying my brain
To only fondle with a knife
It means
I have learned to hide my real emotions
Create a new image of who I am to others
To ensure it can't happen again
It means
My trust level is extremely low when I first start conversing
And it will only rise based on actions of others
Not their words inside their promises
What does it mean to be me?
The life I have lived
It defines me.
The process my mind and body has gone through
To get to where I am today
It defines me.
The acheivments I have
The downfalls I have hardened through
They all define me.
Others words
Others thoughts of me
Others opinions
They do not define me.
I define me.
