Ok so I really loved how Tui ended this. It was not how I expected at all.
My theory that I had when I was reading the book was the Qibli was going to somehow get one of the earrings on Darkstalker and that would 'protect' Darkstalker from his own spells, in turn removing his invulnerability and immortality. Then either he dies right there because his immortality is gone, or they just kill him somehow because his invulnerability is gone.
Needless to say I was wrong.
Tui is so clever, I would've never thought of something like that. I didn't actually. I just said that.
