This wasn't as easy as Bridget had thought it would be. She was given a tour of the tower twice now and she still had no idea how to navigate her way around. She was also very surprised that she had gotten her own floor that was at least twelve times bigger than her room at the adoption home.

Bridget sighs and stops to look outside at the city of New York, the one good thing was that all the outer halls had some kind of window access so she could track her progress but Bridget was pretty sure she passed this particular spot several times.

"Are you okay?" A voice questions, completely scaring the shit out of Bridget.

"Oh my god!" She screams while stumbling back. She falls and hits her head on the hall with a loud 'oof' before finally being able to compose herself.

"I'm so sorry." The man shakes his head while offering his hand to Bridget. She smiles and takes it.

"It's fine, I'm jumpy anyway." Bridget gasps while placing a hand over her heart to try and calm herself down.

"Who are you?" Peter finally questions after a few seconds of them staring at one another in complete silence.

"Oh! Right, you're probably thinking I'm a strange fangirl sneaking into the tower or something because of how lost I look!" Bridget rambles while waving her hands in the air. "Well, I can tell you that I'm not."

"That is not very convincing." Peter comments.

"Right, sorry," Bridget mutters before sticking her arm out to shake his hand. "I'm Bridget."

"Hi. Peter." He quickly states while shaking her hand. "But um, that still doesn't explain who you are."

"My goodness, sorry!" She apologizes again. "I'm the new kid around here, Avengers officially adopted this morning."

"Adopted? The Avengers adopted you?" Peter inquires. "I'm sorry to come off strong but...why did they adopt?"

"You are asking me?" Bridget laughs. "I'm as surprised as you!"

"Wait, you don't know why? They just came out of the blue? No SHIELD agents?" Peter rambles. "Do you not have...abilities?"

"Uh..." Bridget trails off while rubbing her hands together. "I'd answer that, but I don't exactly know who you are."

"Right, I'm an agent here. Making my way up the ranks to an official Avenger." Peter smiles while placing his hands on his hips. "And it was hard for me too, so I'll help you out as much as I can."

"Thanks." Bridget smiles. "And yeah, to answer your question I uhm...do I have powers."

"Really? What are they?" Peter demands with excitement filling his tone. Bridget sucks in a breath and crosses her arms over her chest as if she were trying to shield herself from the answer.

"I don't exactly know." She begins. "But to sum it up, whenever I see powers occurring...I guess i'm able to mimic them or something for a short period of time."

"Really?!" Peter gasps while clapping his hands on his cheeks. "That is so cool!"

"Not really." Bridget shakes her head. "It is kind of a burden if you think about it. Sometimes the powers just show up because I don't know how to use them."

"That does seem...difficult," Peter mutters while tapping his chin.

"So um, Peter?" Bridget questions while rubbing her foot on the ground.

"What's up?" He demands.

"You um, were kind of running before?" Bridget stutters. "Are you okay? Like is something wrong?"

"Oh my god!" Peter shouts while grabbing her wrist to drag her to the room. "It's a tower meeting!"

"A what?" Bridget calls after him as he drags her through the halls to go somewhere in the tower. Finally, Peter arrives in the main lounge area where the rest of the Avengers were laying around, each talking about something that really didn't have any meaning to any of them.

They all stop their conversations when Peter falls into the room with Bridget behind him. She quickly smooths down her shirt as everyone else looks at them both with confusion in their expressions.

"I came as fast as I could." Peter finally gasps with a smile shot towards Bridget who walks towards Tony who was offering some food for her.

"What's happening?" Steve questions with a worried expression as he crosses the room.

"Fury and Coulson." Peter heaves a breath. "They're coming 'cause of her." He quickly points across the room towards Bridget, who had a piece of toast in her mouth and was in the middle of chewing.

"What did I do?" She questions with a mouth full of food, quickly she swallows and looks at everyone. "I'm serious, what did I do?"

"They must've heard about your abilities." Clint shakes his head. "That's the only reason they would come."

"I didn't tell them," Bridget mutters.

"Or they're here to question why we adopted in the first place," Natasha announces while rolling her eyes. "If I were in their shoes, I would too."

"It's not the craziest thing that I've done," Tony admits and Steve opens his mouth to question him but is ultimately interrupted by the elevator door opening. Two men, both wearing suits with matching ties, step inside. One wearing an eye patch and the other not.

"Stark." The man with an eyepatch greets.

"Pirate." Tony scoffs.

"I'm Agent Coulson." The second man greets while extending his hand towards Bridget. She smiles back and shakes it. "And that is Director Fury."

"Bridget." She smiles.

"Well, we have a problem that you all have to deal with." Fury announces with a glare.

"All?" Steve raises his eyebrows while looking at Bridget.

"All."
