Hydra Base - California
Few Years Later"Nat, I really don't think this one is going to have anything." Clint grunts as he throws a Hydra agent against the concrete wall. "They'd have more agents, wouldn't they?"
"You just...have less." Natasha pants as she uses a pole to swing around and knock out three agents. "To deal with. I'm the one who's taking out majority."
"I don't really..." Clint trails off as he turns the corner to see a room of agents, all of them knocked unconscious with Natasha standing in the middle of it all. "Believe you."
"Keep up next time, will you?" She smirks while tipping her head to the side. "You're getting too old for this."
"Shut up." Clint rolls his eyes as the two start walking down a separate hall. Natasha walks through the door at the end. It looked like someone had bolted it shut in haste when they received the news of the assassins arrival. The room inside was dark with no windows. Chains hung from the stained, concrete walls.
"Clint." Natasha whispers while pulling out her gun. Clint turns his gaze away from the blood-covered wall to two figures huddled against the far wall.
"D-don't come any closer." A girl's voice whispers as he turns on the flashlight so they could see. It was a redhead that was holding an unconscious brunette close to her body. "Please, w-we have been through e-enough."
"We're here to help you." Clint calmly replies while kneeling down to her eye level. "Please, can I see her?"
"She's dying." The girl whispers. "They hurt her t-too much."
"I can help her, please." Clint replies. The girl stares at him for a few more beats before she loosens her grip on the brunette. Clint waves his flashlight across her body, checking for bigger wounds that he could cover now. "She's lost a lot of blood. We have to go now, Nat."
"Can you stand?" Natasha questions the redhead, who quickly shakes her head. Natasha nods and helps the girl stand, they both walk out together without another word. Clint effortlessly lifts the brunette off the ground and follows. His stomach churning the entire time. Why did this girl look familiar? Why did he have such a bad feeling? Why do the damn Hydra bases always have to explode?!
SHIELD Base -New York
Hours Later
MorningThe brunette groans as her arm falls over her eyes. The lights, in wherever she was, were way too damn bright. Wait, bright lights? That only meant torture or serum, none of which she really liked. Without thinking, the girl shoots up in her spot, instantly her head spins.
"Hey, you're okay." Phil Coulson sighs as he walks into the room with a small smile. "It's nice to see you again, Bridget."
"Coulson?" The girl whispers while tilting her head to the side. "Am I dead?"
"No." Coulson shakes his head with a small chuckle. "You were close though."
"How did I get here? How did you find me?!" She cries. "Wait, where's Alice?"
Coulson points to the bed next to Bridget with a small smile. There, laying in a peaceful sleep, was Alice. Scars were all over her arms and face, but she looked...normal for once. No fear on her face, just happiness. Slowly, Bridget turns her head back to Coulson.
"Who found us?" She questions.
"Barton and Romanoff." He replies. "Didn't recognize you with all the blood."
"Do they know?" Bridget demands.
"No." Coulson shakes his head. "We wanted to give you some time to adjust first...and I wanted to be the one to give you the news."
"News?" Bridget raises her eyebrows. "But I'm still a virgin!"
"You aren't pregnant." Coulson groans.
"Oh." She sighs. "Then what's 'the news'?"
"A man approached Tony a few weeks after you disappeared." Coulson shakes his head. "Stating that he had found Tony's daughter."
"Oh." Bridget gruffs while running a hand through her hair.
"His daughter isn't real." Coulson continues with a grim expression. "We actually found the real one and it's you."
"What the fuck?" Bridget shouts as her eyes pop out of her head. "No! This is a prank! You lied, I am dead!"
"No," Coulson sighs. "I didn't."
"Why are you acting like there's more?" She questions. "How can there be more to this fucked up news?!"
"Steve is also your father." He whispers back.
"Excuse me? Do you even hear yourself?" Bridget hisses. "You do realize that you just implied that I have two fathers!"
"Yes, both of their DNA circle within you." Coulson nods. "We don't know how because there is no other DNA, but we have our theories."
"I think I'm going to be sick." Bridget whispers.
"Let me call everyone, get them debriefed-"
"No!" Bridget interrupts. "Please don't tell them, let me and Alice go. I...We can find Dean, remember him?"
"I can't keep it from them forever, we have to know why this girl is trying to get in." Coulson argues.
"Then give us a head start."
