Chapter 4 - Behind every thought

Dave firmly tells them the story behind the mass murder. He stated that about 25 years ago, there were kids who bought an Ouija board in this place, hoping to summon a ghost. Without knowing the outcome of their experiment with the board, they summoned a demon. Not knowing what to do, they ran away but it was too late, the demon is now upon them, following every step of the way, going to everywhere they go, waiting for the right time to own their body.

Weeks, months, years came by and the demon is still following them, through every dream, sight or scent. The demon following them came back to this place, still remembering their locations. The demon, in search of a temporary victim, found himself lucky for spotting a little girl. He possessed it and the girl suddenly started acting strange, as if she was someone else. With one sudden urge, the girl found a baseball bat in a locker and started beating everyone up with it.

'How do you know old about this things?' asked Jack,

'These are all theories, nothing really has been given proof about this.' answered by Dave while murmuring his words.

'I am sorry, but where is the baseball bat now?' asked by Nicole while shaking.

'I believe the demon placed it in a tall building somewhere his first victims were in' said Dave.

'I am sorry but we have to go' said Jack.

'Wait! I need tour help' said Dave. Although the 3 were intrigued by the story, they had to leave because it seems to be too sketchy and that it's hard to believe that it closely resembles their experiences.

'Maybe it's a coincidence? Maybe. Maybe it's a guess?' Maybe.' were the thoughts circling their minds as they try to get out.

'If I really can't ask you to help me, just hear this, this may not be our last meeting' shouted by Dave as the 3 went up the gate once more.

'What was that all about?' asked by Jaay. 'It is so weird and strange and everything in between' said Nicole.

'I am having a bad feeling about it now, why does it closely resemble what happened to us?' asked by Jack while driving away. They really were disturbed, but it might have been a bluff. They all went back to the hotel they were resting in and started doing some research.

They searched for the place, the Map online doesn't show that building, not even Satellite mode. Just like before, it was like it was never there but they were put in suspended reality where it was there. They went to sleep that night still trying to figure out what was happening. Nicole suddenly opened her eyes and saw a figure at the end of her bed. She couldn't scream, nor shout, nor move. It appears to be a tall black figure and bloody, carrying a bat. The figure swung the bat into her direction and she woke up, trying to catch her breath. She was awakened by Jack and Jaay.

'What happened to you? What's wrong?' asked by Jaay.

'I think I was dreaming' answered by Nicole.

'What was in the dream?' asked by Jack.

'There was a figure at the edge of my bed, it swung a bat on me but I woke up' answered by Nicole. They all went to bed once again and passed the night. They continued their search for their school again the next morning. They were really motivated about finding this school, you see, they all got themselves in an accident when they were little.

They were in a bus accident in their field trip. The driver was sure that nothing was wrong but the stirring wheel suddenly rotated right and they slammed into a side post. Luckily, no one was hurt from the incident, except for the 3. They had there head bumped into the chair in front of them and they experienced severe head trauma. They were okay but they had amnesia. They can't remember anything from the incident. They weren't able to have the time to go back there because their parents lost their trust in the school facility and they were moved to another school. This was their chance to try to remember their childhood.

Their parents allowed them now so they told them the name of the school but they don't know where it is either. They asked every person they see but none of them would speak of it, they would say that they don't know either. They were driving on a long straight road when they saw a man bleeding in the middle of the road. Jack, who's been driving stopped the car at the side of the road and they went outside. They went to the strange man and asked what happened, the man simply said that there was no time to lose,

'You have to go to that hut across the river there, follow the dirt road and grab the red book on the brown table inside the bedroom' said firmly by the strange man,

'Why would we do that?' asked by Jack.

'I've been following you and I know what you want to know, and I'll tell you the answer when you do my favor' said the strange man.

The 3 were spooked by the guy's statement, they are now curious, 'What happened to you? Why are you bleeding?' asked by Jaay.

'I was stabbed from behind, I never saw who did it, how it was able to hit me but it did.'

'I have a medical kit inside the car, how about I'll help this guy get better and you guys will go on ahead to the hut' said Nicole.

'Are you sure? We can't trust this person' said Jack.

'Do we have another person who knows where the school is? If not then let's go' said Jaay.

Jack finally agreed and they all went on their task at hand. As planned, Nicole stayed and helped the man heal while the 2 went to the hut the man was talking about. The guys went to the small bridge of the river one at a time. Jaay went on ahead and when he was about to reach the edge of the bridge, it breaks, making Jack unable to go to the other side of the bridge. 'Are you okay?' asked by Jack to Jaay in a scream, 'I am fine but how are you gonna cross the river now?' asked by Jaay. 'I will try to find a way, you go on ahead' said Jack.

Jaay walked into the woods and following the path, he wonders 'What if we didn't follow his directions? What if he was bluffing? What if Jack was right? Should've we just pointed a knife at him and make him talk? No, then he still might not tell us the answer and we'll end up killing him.' He kept following the road into the hut and arrived there. He asks himself,

'I wonder what's inside? The door is locked but I can..' Jaay kicked the door and went inside. 'Okay, what do we have here?' There's a living room and a kitchen and a door can also be spotted another door.

He went to the door in search of the book the stranger was talking about. He spotted it on the bookshelf and he hears another person. '

Jack? Is that you?', was the thought running through his head but he thinks logically,

'No, he can't be Jack. He couldn't have already crossed that river, besides, he should've been calling my name by now'. Not knowing what to do, he hid under the bed and waited for the mysterious man to come out.
