Chapter 8 - The Aftermath and Deja Vu

After Jack electrocuted Jesse, Jesse was knocked back to the back wall while losing hold of Nicole in the process. Jesse was unconscious, but because "it" was inside of his body when the shock happened, most of the damage was inflicted to "it" rather than Jesse's body itself. 

'Thank you guys, you really saved me back then' Nicole said. 

'It's okay, that's what friends are for after all' Jaay replies. 

'We should see what happened to Jesse' Jack stated. They went near Jesse where he is vast asleep, they try to open his eyes and sees it be normal. 

They placed him on the sofa and proceeded to organize and put in their stuff. They were tired of this and Nicole thinks, 

'Guys? Should we just call the police and let them do the work?' Nicole asks, 

'Deja vu, again, they won't do anything about it, can bullets even work on "it"?' Jack replies. They remembered why they can't get help but without anyone else's help, "it" won't stop stalking them from everywhere they go. 

'Do you guys still remember Dave?' Nicole asks. 

'Yeah, why?' Jaay responds. 

'Maybe he can help us' Nicole stated, 

'Are you sure? How can he do that? Is he even still there 'coz he wasn't there when we went and saved you' Jack responded. 

'Well, you guys only went to the basement and the 2nd floor, he might still be there' said Nicole.

Although they were not sure about this conclusion, they waited for Jesse to wake up. 

'Do you think that he would know how to stop "it" from following us?' Jaay asks, 

'Not sure but we can give it a try' Jack answers while Jesse wakes up. 

'What happened?' Jesse asks, 

'Well, you were possessed after you approached "it" in the corridor.' Jack answers. 

'Sorry about that, didn't know "it" can do that.' Jesse apologizes. 

'Don't worry, you were not the first person to experience that, I was the first actually' Jaay says.

'We already knew what it can do when you go in contact with it or when you even dare to talk to it.' Jack added to the conversation. 

'Really? What happened when you were possessed?' Jesse asks Jaay. 

'Well, I almost shot Jack at the heart but luckily I resisted it and shot him in the shoulder' Jaay answers. 

'Where did you get a gun?' Jesse asks. 'It was just lying on the floor when Jaay grabbed it under the control of "it"' Jack says.

'That is the primary reason why we don't want to have anything to do with it, it can control you if you act first' Nicole says. 

'Well, I hope you learned your lesson' Jaay implies. 

'That might be the reason I was controlled back then' Jesse replies, 

'Back at the hut? Yeah.' Jaay says. 

'We should prepare our items, by the way, we planned to go back to the building tomorrow.' Jack tells Jesse. 

'Okay, I'll get ready' Jesse replies. They passed the night in their own rooms and woke up in the morning. They get ready for their expedition back to the building to try and find Dave.

They went in the car with Jack driving and went off in search of the building. 'I hope "it" won't show up in this journey' Jaay stated, 

'It got a pretty good shock from the Taser, maybe that might've killed it or at least slow it down.' Jack says. 

'I don't think lightning works on black gusts but okay, what is he made of anyway? Gas?' Jesse said. 

'We don't really know yet, but we'll find out sooner or later, I just hope we find out before it gets to us again.' Nicole said. 

'All I know is that it has a voice of a girl' Jaay says.

They found it and parked somewhere close but relatively far at the same time. They entered it at the front as always but they found it impossible to get over. 

'Hey Jack, it seems like we're not going to be able to get on top of it, it has spikes and it's a lot taller' Jaay tells Jack, 

'If we can't go over, we break it' Jack responded as he grabs a mini sharp saw from his back pocket and sawed through the old metal lock at the back of the gate. They opened the gate partially, so it won't make any noise but they can also all enter it flawlessly.

'Should we split up? It can improve our chances of finding Dave faster' Nicole suggests, 

'No, we don't, we stick together' Jack answers. The place was big and splitting up can be a good suggestion, but with a black gust figure haunting them, that wouldn't be good. They went down the basement first, using their flashlights as a light source. 

'It doesn't seem like he is here at the moment' Jaay says, 

'Let's go back upstairs' Jesse says. 

'Should we call for his name?' Nicole asks, 

'Sure but only once, someone else might hear us, and make it quick' Jaay answers. 

'Dave?!' Nicole shouted. 

'Who is there?' was the response that they heard, and along with it, they followed the sound of that voice. They went to the 3rd floor of the building and saw him, lying down, unable to move.

'Dave! What happened to you? Why are you tied up like this?' Nicole asks. 

'Well something controlled over my body and tied me up to restrain me, I have no idea who it is or even what it was but I can really use some help right about now.' Dave says. All four of them tries to release the restrainer and with one big push, it was removed.

'Why are you back here? I thought you guys left me' Dave says. 

'Well, we decided to come back, a lot of questions have been circling our heads and we wanted to have some answers' Nicole says. 

'I would be more than happy to help you guys, what are your questions?' Dave replies. 

'Woah! Behind you!' Jaay shouted. There was a girl with black eyes holding a knife at both hands. It charged straight at them, pointing the knife in their direction. They were able to dodge it and avoid it with a swift motion, it was a little girl after all. 

'Jaay, grab the restrainer!' Jack shouted as Jesse keeps the girl's attention. 

'Jesse, lure it over here' Jaay says. Jesse ran to the restrainer and Jack activated it when the girl was on top of it, trying very hard not to catch Jesse instead. 

'Jesse, are you okay?' Nicole asks, 

'Yeah, I am fine' Jesse replies. 

'Guys, whatever you do don't talk to her' Dave says, 

'We already know that' Jaay replies. 

'How do you guys already know? Have you tried talking to it at least once?' Dave asks, 

'Yep and it wasn't pleasant' Jesse answers. 

'Well, I will be telling you the truth of why anyone who talks to it will get in its control' Dave insures them.
