You were at your family reunion with your boyfriend. You were dreading it, as your family always thought your cousins were better than you for some reason. And that you weren't good enough for JT.
But that was a lie. There was nothing wrong with a teaching degree instead of a STEM degree. And you were definitely too good for JT, not the other way around.
You were sitting on your aunt's porch, drinking a beer as all the kids climbed on your boyfriend. They always seemed to flock to him which only made you fall for him even more. He was great with them.
"Hold on, I have to go see my girlfriend for a minute." He set the kids down and made his way to you.
"Hey babe." He kissed your cheek. "Sorry I've been busy."
"No, better you than me honestly." You laughed, "They all love you. Almost as much as my students love you."
Later that night, as you were getting ready for bed, you brought up something you hadn't talked about before.
"Maybe we should have a kid."
