"You don't like him that much, do you?" A stranger asked you as you sipped on a cosmopolitan.
"He rejected me and I was stupid enough to give him a second chance. So much for that." You looked at the guy you came with. He was flirting with some red head. You didn't like it but this stranger was cute.
"I'm Andrew Shaw."
You introduced yourself and said, "Nice to meet you Andrew. What are you doing here alone?"
"Looking for sad girls like you." He laughed. "Kidding. My date ditched me too. Well the whole group ditched me."
The two of you talked for a while, laughing most of the time. He was funny with a fading bruise underneath his left eye.
"I'm over this. Everyone drowning their problems in booze, only to find out their demons can swim. Or out drink them. We could get out of here. Go for a walk."
You hesitated. This could end one of two ways. You really hit it off or you end up in his freezer. Hopefully it was the former.
"Let's ditch our friends. Get out of here." You pulled him out the door with you and luckily, it ended very well.
