Temptation-
Ding! You're phone just went off while you were doing homework. Your mom told you that you had to finish your homework before you could get on your phone. But maybe if you just saw who it was---
Don't do it! It's the devil tempting you! Too many times this happens, and too many times I give in. The devil like to tempt you to disobey your parents. He loves it when you disobey God.
God loves you and Satan doesn't! You need to pray and ask God to help you resist temptation Him to give you strength.
But sometimes, you'll slip up. You'll be too tempted that you'll have to look, and then you get in a conversation with them, and then you'll get on Instagram, and before you know it, 2 hours have gone by and you still haven't finished your homework! This is going to happen sometimes. We are humans, and we slip up and sin. The good news is, you're not damned. Jesus died on the cross so that we could be forgiven for those times that we slip up! Whenever you sin, always ask for forgiveness and The Lord will forgive you.
Dear God. I know the devil is constantly tempting me, and there is no way to escape it. Please give me the strength the resist it. And for the times I do slip up, please forgive me. Please point out the sins I do, and help me from doing them again. I'm so thankful that You love me so much that You gave Your only son so that my sins would be forgiven. That means a lot. I love You. Amen.
