" For God is the King of the earth; Sing praises with a skillful psalm. God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne. " ~ Psalms 47:7-8
God's Kingdom-
The other day I was on my phone, and I stumbled across this. It really spoke to me, and I wanted to share it with you all:
" My Princess...YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIT IN. I know you want to be accepted by others, but you were not made to fit in. You, My princess, were created to stand out. Not to draw attention to yourself, but to live the kind of life that leads others to Me. Remember, it's not your choices that will pave your path to life. I will not force you to do anything. I have given you a free will to walk with Me or to walk away from Me. I want you to know that you can put on your crown at any time and let people know that you belong to Me. You have a royal call on your life. I want you to remember you wear the crown of everlasting life, and through you I will do abundantly more than you would ever daere to dream.
Love,
Your King and Crown Giver "
No matter who you are, we all have the desire to fit in. Some of us struggle with it more so than others. If you're one of those people, I've got some good news for you:
YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIT IN.
Our calling on Earth is not to fit in, but to live as God demands us to. Though sometimes it may not seem this way, fitting in may not be what you want. If I had to participate in some of the things needed to "fit in," I wouldn't want to! I feel as if the amount of true Christians is diminishing, and it's rare to find someone who would say they live their life for Christ, and actually live up to their words.
One day, or maybe even today, living for Christ may not be in the requirements of "fitting in." It could be in the ways of cheating, smoking, gossiping, and the list continues on. If you were faced with the question, would you choose fitting in over God?
God does call us to "stand out." He wants us to stand out because of His work in our life, and how His promises has changed us. He wants us to lead others to Him with His own word.
I don't know if anyone else thinks about this like I do, but have you ever wondered what life would be like if Adam and Eve never disobeyed God? If we always lived with God by our sides, without sin constantly threatening to get in between? Though we don't have the luxury of sin-free life (at the moment, at least), we do have free will. God allows us to make a choice in believing in Him and following Him. If He so chose to, we could all have to worship Him whether we wanted to or not; but He loves us so dearly, He gives us the choice. And then His love for us propels us to share His endearing story with others.
Dear God,
Thank you for always being my best friend. When on Earth there may be no one to talk to, I know for a fact that I'll always have you to turn to. I know that I don't need to fit in, especially when I know that being the loved child of God is much more priceless than anything I do with my time on Earth. I love you very much, and I'm honored to
