"Yet those who wait for The Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." ~Isaiah 40:31
Sin-
When you think about sin, it's very unpleasant isn't it? Maybe you get a little uncomfortable, especially when it's mentioned in public. As Christians, we all like to act like we don't do anything wrong, that we always live perfectly for God. We can't go around acting like this.
Our whole belief stands on sin. God said that He gave His only son to die for our horrible, ugly sins. That's what our entire Christian stand point is based on! Sin is such a terrible thing, but it's not something we can run away from,
We've all done things we aren't proud of. Maybe we've done things that no one else knows about. To be brutally honest, we are all filthy, evil humans. We don't deserve happiness. We don't deserve to be saved. We absolutely don't deserve His love. I don't, you don't, no one does...
But Jesus gave it all for us! Our Savior died on the cross, so that we would not perish, but have eternal life with Him!
Sin is unescapable here on Earth. We aren't perfect; God said we wouldn't be. But the good news is, our God believes in second chances. Yes, we are gonna screw up, yes I'm gonna screw up. But that guilt we feel afterwards, that begging for forgiveness, that gives us the forgiveness we absolutely don't deserve. But our God forgives.
Dear God, I know I've done some awful things in my lifetime. I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. None of that compares to You, Lord. Anything I saw as more important than You, I'd trade every bit of it in a heartbeat. I don't deserve the forgiveness You offer me. Thank you. Please forgive me for all of my sins that has separated me from You, God. Amen.
