Chapter 7 - My Parents were WHATS??

Music of Inspiration

We were both sitting in a large room, slightly bigger than mine. Gabriel sitting behind an old looking oak desk covered in papers, pencils and a reading lamp. His library really was magnificent. The shelves were floor to ceiling, and if I hadn't told you before; the ceilings were REALLY high. Two big leather arms chairs, a sofa and coffe table were grouped together by one of the huge windows that over-looked a garden.

"Now. I'm sure you have alot of questions about of different things... maybe more so about your life before you were taken here than why you are actually here...?" He's really good at reading people, I thought. It's like he knows me through and through.

"First, call me Evy please," I began with a smile. "Second, there are some very obvious questions that I could ask you... but I'd prefer if you told me what you already know; that way my questions may already be answered. " I told him with a serious face. If I wanted answers then I needed him to understand that I wasn't just an infant child; so innocent and naive.

(~Gabriel's POV~)

She looked me dead in the eye with a serious expression. She looked alot older than what she was original. She looks like her mother when she smiles. Time to explain everything, I thought to myself as I nodded my head.

"Well, I'll start with explaining the basis of what your life and, infact, about a whole other world that was kept from you.

The world you are in at the moment, is called the Other World. Not very original I know, but within this world their are creatures that are not like human beings of the human world. Do you believe in vampires etc?" I asked her. If she didnt' believe me about this sort of thing, then we weren't going to get through this smoothly.

"Well," she began in her musical voice. "I've heard of them. I never really gave that sort of thing a second thought but I never dismissed as not being real... So you could say that I do, yea." She added nodding her head.

I let out a relieved sigh, "Great! This will be much easier then. Ok, well that is what this is world if full of. For example; myself and my sons are demons and their mother, my wife, is an Elemental Fire Angel. She's away on a trip at the moment, but will return in a few days. She's so excited to meet you," I tld her with a grin. Marita really was excited to meet her! But her trip to Paris kind of came at the wrong time, so she missed Evy's arrival. She smiled in return.

"Ok. So within this world their is Light and Dark. Typical 'good-guy-bad-guy' stuff, but on more realistic and vicious ways. You can choose to be light or dark. You are given the choice before your full potential. I was born of the Light, as weird as it sounds. Both parents were Light creatures but gave birth to a Demon... so even though my sons are demons, they are Light Demons.

As I'm sure you've noticed, they have tattoos on their faces." She nodded with a question in her eyes, but kept her face void of all emotion. I continued, "Well, they are adult demons now. Their tattoos reflect an extra more powerful ability. Cole is able to conjure fire, which he inherited from his mother who controls fire too, so his tattoos are flames. Lucian's ability involves weapons; mainly knives. But it far surpasses any highly trained and practised warrior. His reflexes are more than 10x quicker and more accurate. His tattoos are of swords. You understand?"

"Yes... So your ability would be possibly seeing the future? You have eyes with clock faces instead of iris' for tattoos. The eye being the 'seeing' or 'visions' and the clock representing 'time' or 'future'?" She asked. Nobody had ever gotten what my tattoos meant so quickly... this young woman really was wise beyond her years...

"Yes," I smiled at her. "You are quick to guess, many people are not. Yes, I see visions of the future. I can control it and seek myself, but sometimes they just hit me, that is only if it is going to be harmful... So do you understand the basics?" I asked her. She nodded and motioned for me to continue.

"Now, in any world, there is politics. Here, things are settled in a less civilised if Darkness is involved. In-other-words, mostly everything is settled by a war or battle. Now, each group of creatures and Light and Dark have their own king and queen. I am the King of Light, my wife is the queen. That makes our sons the princes of our kingdom and future kings; as they've both agreed that they could run the kingdom if they both be king instead of one of them.

A legdan that you have to know about is the Battle Angels born of the Darkness. They are born warriors, so the warrior blood runs through their veins. They fight for blood. Their every strike precise and aims to kill. They are always equipt with knives and swords which are usually strapped to them so it's easier to move in battle. Everything is in black, including their wings." She flinched slightly at "wings". Confused I continued,

"The leader of the Battle Angels is also the King of Darkness. It is seen as disrespectful for the future leader and king or queen of Darkness to choose Light; so their future is already chosen for them before they are even born.

"The other ledgan that you should know about is the Battle Angels of Light. They are very similar to the dark battle angels, except everything is in white, including their wings. They too are deadly but a battle is their last option. Same as the dark angels, the leader is the future king or queen of Light. And is equally disrespectful to choose Darkness over Light. Do you understand all of that?" She nodded in reply again.

"Evy, your mother and father were the leaders of their Battle Angel troops." I told her, watching her reactions. Her eyes looked distant suddenly, as if she's not really here. "Evy...? Are you alright? I know it's alot to take in, but there's more for you to know." I said softly, looking into her eyes, beckoning her with mine to come back from her thoughts. Her eyes focused on mine and after a moment of silence, nodded her head slowly. I gave her a small smile.

"Both your parents were in arranged marriages due to them being the Battle Angels' Leaders. Your father was supposed to marry the Queen of Darkness at the time, Divina Hellward. And your mother was supposed to marry the King of Light at the time... me." She jumped slightly at that and her eyes widened.

"Yes, I know. But you see, your mother and father were in a battle against each other over land. In the middle of the battle, they met and immediately fell in love. They ran away together, got married in the human world and had you. They were able to hide their true forms in the human world so no one suspected a thing.

"I do not hold it against your mother, father or you for Angela running away with your father. I didn't love her, and neither of us would never have been truely happy. It wasn't long after that I found Marita. And the rest is history." I told her with a smile. She smiled back, but it vanished with the next sentence,

"Evy, you are the true heir to either my throne or the Darkness throne..."
