Chapter 9 - Composition from the heart

Music of Inspiration - Take me Away by Chase Coy

(~Luke's POV~)

I sat there on the sofa in one our many room in this massive castle, and watched as my mother was bombarded with 20 girls all laughing and cheering as if she were their mother.

The same red headed little girl from the orphanage, Lucy, tugged on Evy's dress, who picked her up and hugged her tight as if never to let her go.

"Lucy... my Lucy... back with me... along with all my girls." I heard her say as all of them moved around her and embraced her all at once.

"We've been through alot... but we did it together and now we're in paradise," She looked up my mum and dad, who were together arms around each other smiling at them, when she said "paradise". "Together. We're here together... together..." She whispered her prayers in her language that sounded so strange but comforting at the same time. It's not suprising that she's the child of two angels, even if one was of Darkness. It's very obvious now.

Dad had explained everything to Cole and I before we went to breakfast so that if Evy has anymore questions she doesn't have to go searching for him just to get answers.

My thoughts were interrupted by my mum's voice calling out, "I think you should all give your new brothers a BIG hug!!" I heard laughing and cheering and all of a sudden Cole and I were jumped on my 20 girls all laughing and giggling.

I smiled at them all and then turned my head when I felt someone tapping my shoulder. There stood Little Lucy. I opened my arms automatically, welcoming her in. She grinned and climbed into my lap giggling and hugging me tightly around the neck. I smiled and hugged her back. It felt oddly good to be accepted by this little girl as she was closest to Evy.

After the love-fest Cole, Evy and I gave them a tour of the house. It was quite suprising that Evy remembered, as she'd only gotten the tour hours before.

The girls loved everything! They're lovely kids. For so long they must have seen Evy as their mother, she was only one who seemed to care for them and take care of them. Now they have my mum and dad. They're so happy to have more kids filling up the space in this massive castle. Even I have to say that the atmosphere is different with them around already!

After the tour, we made our way to the family dining hall. Everyone talked and laughed while eating... the mood in the room was infectious and bright. During the dinner, my father cleared his throat while setting down his knife and fork. The girls immediately stopped talking, set down their knives and forks and looked up at my father expectantly.

"Seeing as we have new arrivals to our family, we have decided to hold a ball as an introduction to the people!" I announced with a smile. All the girls gasped and grinned back. "We have Izzie who will help you buy dresses, alter them if needs be and sort everything out for you all. It will be held Friday of this week. You will be decorating your rooms tomorrow and then on Tuesday you will be going dress shopping. Sound good?" There was chorus of "YEA!!"'s and "Thank you!"'s.

After dinner all the girls made their way to bed with Evy. She tucked them all in and said prayers with them all. I waited and watched as she did so. I'm actually really happy to get new sisters in the family. Sure, there're loads of them... but I can't wait to get to know them all.

Evy and I made our way to our rooms - her's is across from mine - in silence. When we got to her door, she turned around to face me.

"Thank you for being so welcoming of my girls." She said looking straight into my eyes.
