Chapter 8 - The joining of two families to make one bundle of joy

Music of Inspiration - Since You Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson

(~Evy's POV~)

"Evy, you are the true heir to either my throne or the Darkness throne..." He said gently trailing off.

Me... the queen of darkness or light... I wasn't thinking about choosing light or dark, I would choose Light straight off... it was the concept of being a queen... the concept that my own mother was meant to marry this man infront of me... I'm a princess... But my parents are gone...

"But my parents are gone... surely Queen Divina has already married?" I asked him and then added as an after thought, "And to be deadly honest, I don't swing that way, so I won't be marrying any women... especially by the sure name Hell-ward." I grimaced as he laughed. I could detect a hint relief in that throaty laugh. It made me smile.

"Yes, your parents are not here, and Queen Divina has married a Dark Demon. But she has a brother by the name of Damen. You are next for the throne and will probly be forced to marry him if they find out about you. That is, if you choose Darkness..." He said thoughtfully. This is too much for one person in one day... Wait... he said I'm the heir to both thrones... that means that would have to marry Cole or ... Luke...

"Are you going to force me marry Luke or Cole?" I asked him starting to panick a little. I barely got here and he's going to marry me off to one of his sons that I barely know! Though, Luke wouldn't be quite a bad catch...

"I knew you would ask that," he said with a knowledge-filled smile. "If you choose Light, then we will have to wait for your power to release. That doesn't happen until your 21. By then you will be fully trained so that you can protect yourself and in shape for the transformation. Only when you've changed will you choose to marry one my sons, if you so wish. You do not have to, I give a choice and do not force you into it, that would be very wrong." He told me truthfully. I heaved a sigh of relief and gave him a smile.

"Though we know what your parents are," he continued. "We don't know what you are. You were born of both Light and Dark, that much is certain. But you already carry a tattoo that is on your back. I believe it is of silver wings?" He asked, I nodded in reply. "Yes, well, that is very strange... but then again you are not a normal Otherworld creature that I can tell." He told me with a kind smile. I smiled again to him.

"I can't thank you enough," I told, tears started to form my eyes, yellow would start to form in my eyes to show my happiness and joy along with my dark blue. "You took me from a place that could barely be called home... from a life of abuse..." I looked away out through the window, imagining what was happening to the girls back at the orphanage. "But you also took me away from the only family I had..." a silver tear escaped and rolled down my cheek. "I have escaped the abuse that those three lowlives dished out, but I fear that the rest of the girls will get it instead. The upside to me recieving the abuse, was that nobody else would have to bear it..." I looked back at him.

I could imagine what he was looking at. My eyes woud be ice blue mixed with red and black that a glint in it. My face would be empty of emotion and a tear trailing down my face.

He nodded solemnly, taking in my expressionless face, tear and emotional eyes with a face full of pain.

"Those men are of darkness... We will pick those humans up. The girls can stay here in the castle... as you've already noticed, the place is huge! We have plenty of room! How many girls are there?" He asked eagerly. Guess demons aren't all bad.

"There's 20 of them," I said happily, but continued quickly when I saw his eyes widen quite a bit. "But alot of them are young yet. A few of them can stay in the one room together. When we were in the orphanage we didn't have many rooms; 10 stayed in one room and the other 10 stayed in another room. I was given my own room... makes it easier I guess." I told him with a slight grimace.
