Chapter Thirty-Two (Part Two)

Lee Jihoon's POV

It's been months...since I liked her. She's perfect for me. I can't control my feelings for her. I want to confess to her, but at the same time I'm reluctant to do it... because I keep having this feeling that she likes someone else... someone not me.

I was at the canteen until a group of boys came in. Ah, they were BTS. I quickly went to hide behind the water fountain and witness everything that was about to go on.

Just then, I received a text message. It was from... her.

Jeon Jungkook's POV

Did I just indirectly confess to her? Too bad that she doesn't know that she's the mystery girl in my heart. I can't control my feelings for her now... let alone my hormones. As I quickly fled the scene, I could sense that my hyungs knew that something was up. As soon as Chaeri left, they quickly rushed over to me, obviously wanting to tease me.

"Yah, maknae-yah!" Hobi hyung started. He raised his eyebrows and started dancing around me, shrieking on top of his lungs.

"Our maknae is in love!" RM hyung said. He had his hands on his waist and was raising his eyebrows. He had a slight smirk on his face.

"Ooh, Jungkook and Chaeri sitting on a tr-" Taehyung hyung had started, but was cut off.

"Let's not disturb him for a bit." Jin hyung said. I saw his eyes move towards the water fountain. I looked over there, and saw... Lee Jihoon?

Lee Jihoon's POV

Oh no. I think I saw Seokjin's eyes. I think they saw me. I can't hide now.

Jeon Jungkook's POV

"Hyung, what are you doing here?" I questioned Jihoon hyung. He got out from behind the water fountain.

"Look!" He said, showing us his phone. "She's in danger. We must go save her! Jungkook, please." Jihoon hyung looked desperate. I took a look at the text message. I was struck dumb.

Chaeri: Jihoon oppa, Areum... she...

Jihoon: What happened, Chaeri!

Chaeri: Areum.... she threatened to kill herself after Jungkook rejected her...

Jihoon: What?!

Chaeri: It's not his fault... it's just that... she's upset, that's all... but I'm scared

Jihoon: I'll get Jungkook. Where are you guys?

Chaeri: At the rooftop. Oppa, please help me😭

"Oh, crap. Hey, it's not my fault. It's not my fault that I don't like her!" I protested.

"Jungkook, it's no time for that. Rush to the rooftop, now." Jihoon hyung warned. We all ran up to the rooftop, and indeed, we found Areum and Chaeri there, with Areum crying.

"Jungkook." Jihoon hyung motioned for me to go closer to Areum. I nodded. Soon, we were face to face.

"What do you want?" Areum said. "You don't love me, go away." She was still crying, and Chaeri was still trying to comfort her.

"I came to apologize. I-I didn't mean to reject that rudely. It's just that... I have another girl in mind..." I said. My eyes drifted over and met Chaeri's. We had a one second eye contact, and I quickly looked away to prevent myself from getting red in the face.

"I'm ugly. I have no talent. That's why you don't like me! Isn't that the cause?" Areum said, coming closer to me. Tears were all over her face. Chaeri walked up next to Jihoon hyung.

Lee Jihoon's POV

Oh, crap. She's walking closer and closer to me. Soon, she's beside me. I could feel myself getting red in the face. I'm trying not to seem too obvious or they'd probably all make fun of me.

Jeon Jungkook's POV

"No, it's just that... I like someone else more than you." I said, making my voice firm. "I'm sorry, but I can't accept your love. However, let's be friends?" I held my hand up for her to hold. Instead, she just came closer and closer to me. She pounded my chest, hard. I winced.

"I hate you, I hate you, I freaking hate you Jeon Jungkook!" She said as she kept pounding my chest and cried.

"It's okay if you hate me. I know I've been a jerk, but let's still keep being friends." I said. I would do anything from having someone commit suicide over me. I know it seems dumb, but well, the impossible can be unexpected.

"S-Sure." She said, finally letting go of me. "Promise." I held up my pinky finger.

"Promise."

After we were done, I looked around for Chaeri.

She was gone.
