Ch15: The wedding

Aurora's pov

I stood in the changing room with Tempest, Rarity and Mystic. Its been a couple of weeks and after a long time of planning, its finally here. Twilight had insisted that we have a wedding in the castle since both Capper and myself had helped save Equestria from the Storm king and of course we agreed. 

Rarity was currently doing my main as Tempest and Mystic wore dresses. "Why do I have to wear this again" Tempest asked, looking down at the dress. "Because your the maid of honour and you need to wear a dress" Rarity replied as Tempest sighed. 

I had chosen Tempest to be the maid of honour because I was quite close to her. Mystic was the flower girl along with Moonshadow but he was with Capper right now. "Rarity, are you almost done" I asked, a little unsure of what she was doing to my hair. 

"Hold on Darling, you need to look perfect" she replied, pulling a brush through my hair. "So Tempest, do you like anyone" I asked, trying to start a conversation. "Not really, no one that takes my fancy" she replied. "Well I'm sure you'll find someone that you like one day" I told her happily. 

"Yeah right, who would like a unicorn who can't even use magic" she replied. "Don't put yourself down like that. There will be someone that likes you" I told her, winking. She rolled her eyes as Rarity put something in my hair and then levitated a mirror toward me. 

I looked in the mirror and saw my hair was brushed nicely. I was wearing the nice wedding dress with a few jewels in the dress. "Its great, thanks Rarity" I told her as she smiled. She was wearing a nice dress as she trotted out to meet the other. "You look fine, Don't worry Tempest" I smiled before we left, meeting Moonshadow outside the main room.

Capper's pov

I stood at the top of the steps a Applejack stood on the steps next to me. I was getting really nervous and all the ponies watching didn't help. I noticed Pinkie getting really excited next to Rarity who told her to calm down or she would ruin her dress. 

The princesses stood to the side. Then the door opened and I gulped, nervous as to what was going to happen. I looked to the door and I felt like my heart just stopped. Aurora looked beautiful. I let out a soft purr as Tempest stood next to the others with Mystic and Moonshadow.

Twilight stepped forward and started talking. "Friends, we have joined here today to share with Capper Dapperpaws and Aurora Feathers an important moment in their lives. Their time together, they have seen their love and understanding of each other grow and blossom and now they have decided to live out the rest of their lives as one." she started as I fiddled with my fingers nervously.

Twilight then gestured to me, meaning that it was my time to speak my vows. I gulped and pulled on my collar before trying to remember my vows. Applejack tapped my leg and nodded as I cooled myself down. "I, Capper Dapperpaws, take you, Aurora Feathers, to be my wife, my friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward. In the presence of our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honour and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live" I spoke as I saw Aurora blush a little.

Twilight then looked at Aurora who nodded and spoke up. "I Aurora Feathers, take you Capper Dapperpaws to be my husband, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live" Aurora finished her vows as Twilight nodded and looked between us before gesturing to Spike who handed her the rings. 

Twilight levitated the two rings, one on a chain as Aurora had her ring placed around her neck and mine was placed on one of the fingers on my paw. "By the power vested in me as the princess of friendship, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride" Twilight smiled as I picked up Aurora and the two of us kissed.

Cheers erupted through out the room a the two of us broke the kiss, staring into each others eyes.

Time skip

Aurora and I were dancing. Well I was holding her while we moved across the dance floor. The music played as ponies danced or ate food or something. I purred quietly as Aurora looked at me while smiling.

"Your happy aren't you" she asked. "Why would I not be. I just married the most beautiful pony I have ever met" I replied as we continued to dance for a while.
