The third installation to the beloved Dark Souls franchise was released in early 2016. Withholding promises of going back to the core of Dark Souls whilst making it feel fresh and investing.
But it's hard to make a sequel as special as the original because there's no beginner's magic like the first time unless it's your first Souls Game. Alas, here are few minor and major design flaws in Dark Souls 3.
- The game is packed with nostalgia, making it lose some merits on originality.
- Unlike DS1, you're always set on a linear path and you know it.
- The Calamity Ring. (Unless you want an even harder experience...) It makes you take more damage.
- The Ancient Wyvern isn't deserving of being a boss. It doesn't even deserve a huge health bar at the bottom of my screen!
- The Knight class is like turning on Easy Mode.
- Anor Londo reuses the O&S Room for a Main Boss. An less cool one, at that.
- The way to get the endings are vague and if you're not an Internet hermit, it'll be tricky to get them all.
- PVP.... Honestly I could make a whole entire book on the issues with this game's PVP. It's super buggy and has very little for arena's. Ganking is more frequent than dying or breathing and people use host advantage or lag switch to beat you. It's bullshit.
