The Emergency

The bottle kept being spun until it had landed on everyone except a few people. Eventually Fletcher run into the staff room. Connie's head immediately turned towards him. "Connie sorry can I borrow you for a second."

"Yes of course." She stood up taking Emma with her.

"I am so so so so sorry. But I had to answer the red phone as it was going off as I walked passed and no one was around and-."

"Fletch get to the point."

"Doctor needed on site" he handed her the notes he has taken. " It is really bad they need someone out there as soon as and a nurse too."

"Is this you trying to beg to come with me on the call out. You don't even work on this ward anymore Fletcher."

"I know but Jac said it would."

"Never mind what Jac said. Hurry up get changed I will see you outside in five." Connie said she saw him punch the air in the glass and smirked to herself. "Charlie, can you look after Emma and take her up to Darwin if Jac wants her back early. She can do something in my office." He nodded "Thank you. Right massive RTC coming in myself and nurse fletcher are going to attend the situation."

"Connie that is not your call." Rita said.

"I think you will find as long as this is my department it is my decision. And he has just become head of nursing staff. He is on Darwin. There is no excitement up there. You have to give you nurse boss some fun Nurse Freeman."

As much as Rita didn't like it Connie was right.

"Oh and I think you will find it is now only me and nurse fletcher who can decide who goes on call outs. If you check the new nursing rule book." Connie sauntered away smirking, into her office. She chucked her green Doctors Jumpsuit on, picked up her hard hat and walked out.

As far as Connie knew there was no one watching her. Oh god was she wrong.

She went out of the front doors and jumped into the ambulance car with already in the back.
