13. Karaoke @ The Crypt.

JAY'S POV.

Cris was getting better as the days went on. Her surgery was set for next year, it was hella complicated and she didn't even want to know about it. Her mom handled everything perfectly and her dad was there trying to keep everyone happy I guess. Her dad was a great cook so they would always sit for dinner whenever Cris wasn't in the hospital. I was happy for them.

Julio and I got back together. We spent a lot of time together since Cris was always doing Chemo. We visited her and she was happy that we were together.

"Maan, thanks Julio for being with my best friend while im in here. I feel so selfish."

"Nah, don't say that. You need all the support you can get plus I'm taking you out on Friday so be on your best behavior so they let your feisty ass out." Julio replied.

"Whatever man!" Cris laughed. We all knew it was true, she was always behaving mean to the older nurses and they always extended her stay because she wouldn't behave.

Julio and I spoke with her parents about carrying her out on Friday night. Crypt was keeping there monthly karaoke and we knew Cris needed some fresh air. Her mom gave Julio gas money and gave us some extra money to get her whatever she wanted. Julio and I went over to my house to visit my mom. She loved Julio and actually enjoyed talking to her every chance she got. My mom even started dating so I had to be babysitting my lil bro very often. When I wasn't at home I was with Julio in her and Shane's apartment but Shane has been gone for a while now so Cris sleeps over when she wants to.

"Hey momma"

"Hey baby girl, where's Juliette. You guys gotta babysit tonight."

"That's fine, just not Friday night ok"

"And why not?"

"We're carrying Cris out for some fun and fresh air."

"Aww how's my baby doing? I miss her laughter and bad behavior so much. She used to always say no aunty I ain't bad I'm just a lil angel who lost her wings."

"Mom stop talking about her like she's dead or something damn." I shouted.

"Young lady you better watch your tone. I miss her too, im sorry damm" she mocked me.

Julio walked in after and grabbed my mom for a big bear hug.

"Hey momma, I miss her too. You should come visit her at the hospital some time she keeps asking for you."

" I will visit my angel soon, im just too busy with work and everything and I aint got no one to help me take care of Darian since y'all aint ever here."

"Im sorry ma, I'll try to be here more often." I said to her.

She kissed me, grabbed her purse and ran out. I looked over and saw Darian at the foot of the stairs looking like a poor thing. I laughed and ran to him lifting him into the air while spinning him.

"He must be hungry" Julio said while walking into the kitchen. I watched her navigate the cupboards like she's been here all her life. I smiled and walked over to the coach to watch some cartoons with my lil bro.

"Damn, why Cris always gotta take forver to get ready and shit." I sigh to myself becuase I repeat this every time we had to go out, she always takes forever.

It was finally Friday and Julio and I were outside Cris' house waiting on her to come out. So long we actually decided go in and see if something was wrong. When we got in we saw Cris hooked up to drips while getting nebulized.
