My eyes almost bulge out of their sockets as my mouths stays open from the shock of the words that came out of this mysterious wolf's mouth. "What? No way," I croak jumbled by everything right now. There's no way this wolf could be our moon. There just isn't no way. Right?
"Being a devoted believer in the moon. You sure doubt me?," he raises a brow disapprovingly.
"I-It's just the moon suppose to be a f-female?"
"Says who?"
"I-I don't know. That's what I grew up believing I guess," I grimly say beginning to doubt everything I've ever known. If this wolf is in fact our moon god than what else might I be miseducated on?
"A lot of misconceptions about me. I don't blame you. However, I'm surprised your mate didn't mention it though due to him personally knowing me," moon says as he paces back and forth.
The reminder of my mate sends extreme sadness over my entire being which I quickly brush away trying to remain strong. However, another thing catches my attention. "He knows you? How?," I question curiously.
"We must leave we don't have enough time before they arrive," before he could answer, Octavia intervenes catching the attention from the both of us.
"Before who arrives?," I crease my brows having no clue on what she's referring to.
"Lodis and Rita"
"Lodis? Wait, who's Rita?"
"Too many questions so little time. We must leave now before they find you," Octavia hastily says stepping forward grabbing my arm which I pull away from her grip.
"I don't know you. I'm not going anywhere with you," I bluntly say starting to back away.
"You're in serious danger," she worriedly says.
"Danger? Lodis would never"
"You don't know her. The real her"
"I-I'm going home!," I hastily say turning around to start power walking away from these two individuals that claim one is the moon god and the other being an old friend of my grandmother.
Before I could step another foot, I feel a strong grip on my shoulder which pulls me back gently and before I could protest or even scream for help. I feel myself zoom farther away from the spot I was currently standing in which instantly gives me the feeling as if I am floating as everything goes black within a blink of an eye. Another blink of an eye, I'm somewhere else no longer feeling like I am floating.
I stand in the middle of a forest right in front of a cabin that appears to be occupied. I gasp, dropping my books not caring about them falling to the ground. I turn around hastily realizing, I've been transported into another place within a blink of an eye literally. I turn around seeing Octavia and the moon god casually observing me waiting for some type of reaction.
"Where am I?!," I panicky say.
"At my territory. You're safe here," Octavia responds walking pass me and up the porch of her cabin. "Come inside, we have a lot to discuss," she smiles opening the door stepping inside.
"I'm not stepping one foot inside until you explain to me what's going on? Why am I here? Why me? What's going on?"
"Relax," moon cuts me off cupping my jaw. Instantly, I feel myself go into another dimension. I'm in some type of institution, I open my mouth to ask what this place is, but Moon raises his finger up to shush me. As soon as he does, loud heavy footsteps are heard coming behind the big two wooden doors of this room. Within a few seconds, the doors bursts wide open as a stunning young silvery-grey eyed she-wolf with charcoal-grey dark brown long waves wearing an elegant ivory dress that is absolutely out of this world steps inside. Is she some kind of princess or something?
