"It was the only way to get you back," Luka utters as I close the door behind me.
Very quickly I freeze the door not wanting Luka to have any access into the room. After what Moon just threw at me. I can't think clearly anymore. How could I of prayed to something so cruel. Why would he want to take an innocent child to begin with? Nothing makes sense truthfully.
Luka comes to a halt knocking on the door twice until he starts banging on it. I walk into the bathroom opening the cabinet grabbing the pregnancy test I bought yesterday. I haven't gotten my menstrual cycle. In matter of fact, I'm late very late.
As I desperately pray for the pregnancy test to be negative. My hand trembles as I hold the stick to urine on it. Now the waiting game begins and boy is this so intense. I never saw myself to be this nervous and against possibly being pregnant. I always saw myself as a mother eventually, but not this way.
"Alyja, let me in," is heard from the background multiple times. However, all I can focus on is seeing the results of the test. It's as if everything suddenly is muted and zoned out only hearing my heartbeat.
I decide to close my eyes taking in a deep breathe turning around to see the stick.
My heart sinks down to the pit of my stomach as I sudden become nauseous. At the same time, broken ice breaks apart landing on the floor. Tears start to form rolling down my cheeks as Luka enters the room.
"No," he breathes as he stares at the pregnancy test then at me with the most guiltiest face I've ever seen on him.
"You knew we would eventually have a child, so why make such a deal?," I bluntly say wiping the tears off my cheek.
"All I wanted was you back with me," Luka huffs frustratedly.
"If my child was going to be sacrificed then you should of left me dead," I angrily say curving Luka to step out of the restroom.
As I proceed out of the restroom and into the room. I stumble against Moon. The last wolf I want to see right now.
"You," I breathe angrily.
"That child of yours has a big purpose on earth," Moon calmly says.
"And what's that purpose that you must rip away my child from me?"
"I can't tell you. Your child must be protected from that very purpose," Moon sternly responds.
"Seems like you had this all planned out," Luka grumpily utters.
"I did not plan for such a thing. However, I did see all this coming. As I mentioned before, I'm not the only one that can bend fate. Therefore, due to Alyja's fate being bend. I had to come up with a plan for what's to come," Moon seriously warns.
"What's to come?," I breathe confusedly.
"In her 22nd birthday, I'll be collecting her," Moon says as she vanishes before our very eyes without warning.
"Her?," I breathe as I lock eyes with Luka whom is also very stunned like me.
"I was once told that bending nature always has its consequences. This must be it," I sadly murmur. I just found out that I'm pregnant with a babygirl. The thought of having her for only 22 years breaks my heart.
"Moon just said she has a purpose. Maybe once she completes that. We'll have her back."
"Purposes aren't always short term," I respond as I look down at my stomach placing my hands on it.
"We'll train her well," Luka reassures placing his big warm hands on top of mine.
I have no clue what my daughter's purpose is nor what to expect from it. All I can do is make sure to train her well for whatever she might have to deal with. I just pray that this purpose is short term and that I'll have my daughter back.
Because if I don't I will make it my purpose to find her at all costs even if that includes crossing the immortal realms.
This is the last chapter for Alpha Luka.Prologue will be posted next week.
