Chapter 19

Chapter 19: Its not what you think

Isabella's POV

As we both sat it in the car silence filled the atmosphere as i couldn't help but feel slightly awkward and nervous. I don't know if its because of what he's about to tell me or if I'm just overreacting but the tension I'm feeling in here makes me wanna jump through the car door. literally. Soon the car came to a stop as my heart rate suddenly dropped to the floor and my hands began to feel a little sweaty.

'' You alright'' i heard carters voice ask bringing me back to reality. My head snapped over to his direction as i forced a small smile try to seem as convincing as I could

''Yeah, why wouldn't I be'' I shrugged off trying my best to ignore the huge lump in my throat

''Angel your hands are shaking like crazy and you keep zoning out like every five minutes'' he stated the obvious. I tried avoiding his gaze as best as I could,while trying to look at anything and everything other than him. He was one hundred percent right about everything he just said awhile ago. My hands are shaking like crazy and I know I keep zoning out but how could you blame me, carter is making this sound like he's gonna break up with me, and he hasn't said one thing to me since this car ride started until now and its freaking me out.

And I know throughout this past year we've been through a number of fights and arguments but we always end up back stronger than before so maybe he didnt want to break up with me,but the way he's acting is making me think the complete opposite.

''Bella'' I heard carter call my name but but I still didn't look at him,I didn't want to''Angel I know what your thinking but its really not that''he said from the drivers seat'' If your thinking that I brought you out here to tell you that this is over its actually not'' He said reaching over as I felt his hand rest on the top of mine

I let out a small breath of relief but my curiosity got the best of me as I creased my eyebrows  looking up at him through my hair.''Its not?'' my voice came out barely above a whisper.

''No baby why would you even think that'' He frowned over at me

''I didn't know maybe because of how you made it sound like it was something extremely bad,and you made me really nervous hen you were said the proper way to tell me was at dinner'' I finished

''Bella that thought would never in a million years cross my mind..I'm way to in love with you to even consider something like that'' He looked over as our eyes immediately locked making the world seem to slow down leaving only us in the centre of attention. He smiled at me stopping my breath for a few seconds before he said those three incredible worlds''I love you''

I smiled back over at him immediately regretting my earlier thoughts.'' I love you to'' I breathed out before he leaned over catching my lips between his in a sweet kiss. A couple minutes later we pulled away slightly out of breath and breathing hard. His forehead reses on mine as he stared deeply into my eyes''I never leave you not for anyone or anything and don't you ever forget that, okay?''

''Okay'' I nodded

''Great now lets go'' he said

We exited the car as I creased my eyebrows in confusion looking around. I hadn't even noticed our surroundings due to the conversation we were having inside the car. Looking around everything was dark as I also took notice of the tall endless amount of trees surrounding us. ''Carter where are we?'' I asked feeling my heart start hammering against my chest. I look back at him as he smiled amusingly at me

''Calm down'' was all he said before taking my hand as we began walking into what i assume to be a forest as darkness surrounded us

''Carter I'm scared'' I whispered clutching his arm tightly

''Its okay'' He mumbled throwing his arm over my shoulder making me feel a bit better.

Soon I could see a small amount of light a little further from where we were.'' Close your eyes'' he said beside me

''What?''

''Close 'em'' he repeated

I did as he said  before we suddenly stopped and what I think was a blindfold got tied round my eyes.''We're here'' he said excitedly
from behind me. He wrapped his hands around my waist and rested his head in the crook of my neck reminding me of the time he surprised me with the house.'' Now take off the blindfolds'' he mumbled. Doing as he said i took off the blindfolds as my eyes slowly fluttered open

''Oh my god'' I gasped at the sight before me,looking back at carter he had a bright smile across his face making one appear on my own.

''Do you like it?'' he asked hopefully

''Of Course..Carter I love it'' I breathed out before turning around to pull him into a tight hug. My hands circled around his neck as his hands wrapped around my waist'' I love it,thank you'' I said as we pulled away from our embrace

He me motioned for me to go ahead as I turned around with a smile walking forward. The colourful lights that hung from the trees shun brightly down at the open space below where a small table for two was. I walked closer admiring the vase in the middle of the table with my favourite flowers,daisies. The smile never left my lips as I continued admiring everything. I turned to smile at carter again since  I was at a complete loss for words.'' I'm glad you like it'' he said resting his forehead on mine staring down at me.

''Its beautiful, how did you even get time to do this?'' I asked out of curiosity

''Lets just say I had a little extra time after my meeting with omar'' he smirked

''so your saying you did this all on your own'' I raised an eyebrow

''Well not technically , I did get some help from your two best friends'' He smiled'' Anyways that's not why were here'' he said leading me towards the table he pulled out a chair from me as we both sat down. I stared at him from across the table as a wild thought ran through my head

And the night begins
