Chapter 21: Its not your fault

This chapter is gonna be a bit emotionally at first and then a bit sexual at the end so if you guys don't like those kind of things you can just basically skip out the last parts of this chapter. I warned you guys so don't be blowing up my inbox about anything you don't like.

Carter's POV

She stared at me speechless, not a sound left her lips as she tried to react to what I had just told her. Her face held a few emotions I tried to read or understand but I couldn't she was probably way to lost and confused by my words to even show one straight emotion. I on the other hand didn't even know how to try and finish this conversation with her without it turning out into a complete disaster but I knew eventually we had to talk about it.

"N-no" she then stuttered out slightly nodded her head no. " Why would you even consider doing that" she breath out staring up at me as I noticed her eyes began to water.

"isabella just listened-"

"No Carter I do not want to listen" she yelled in frustration"you are not leaving and that's final" she stated

"But baby I have to"

"No you don't" she denied as a few tears slipped down her cheek blending in with her wet skin.

"yes I do" I told her grabbing her hands with mine pulling her closer to me as she began crying." If I don't then who's gonna make sure my princess is safe" I tried lightening the mood lifting her chin with my index finger to make her look up at me. Tears filled her big hazel eyes as she frowned up at me. It always broke my heart to see her cry,especially if I'm the reason for it and seeing her hurt like this made me wanna punch myself in the face for this.

"But you can't" she rested her head on my chest wrapping her hands around my neck while hugging me tightly to her"you just can't" she whispered weakly. My heart felt like it shattered into a million pieces as she left a warm kiss on my neck whispering something.. "You said you'd never leave me" the words left her lips echoing through my ear.

"Princess I know but it's not like that" I sighed hugging her back" I'm only doing this to make sure she can't hurt you, I can't risk knowing you could get hurt and not do anything. I have to stop her"

"but why do you have to be away so long?" she asked through the tears

"Because" I started off leaning my forehead on hers" We don't know exactly where in Italy she is and that only will take up most of the time and plus if and when we do find out where she is it'll take a lot of work and planning to find a way to stop her and whoever she's taking with her away from you" I explained

She sighed with a frown"well can't I come with you?" she asked with hope

"that's actually what I wanted to do but what if things don't go the way they were planned and she finds out we're there?"I question" that could lead to us and more important you getting caught up in the middle of everything and that's the last thing I'd want to happen right now" I replied watching her frown running her hands through her wet hair.

"I know it's gonna be hard but I promise it won't even be as long as it sounds"

She sigh"okay" her voice coming out weak and cracked from the crying she's been doing.

"Great" I tried smiling for her as I placed a kiss on her forehead.

"You took me all the way out her made me dinner and took me swimming just to break my heart at the end"she pouted still leaning her head on my chest.
