Chapter 32 : Unstoppable Army Of Stars 🌠✨🌟💫
Isabella's POV
For a moment it was like they all went into shock mode. Not a single sound was heard but the deafening silence that overcame the room. My heart was beating so fast and I was so nervous that I felt as if I'd breakdown right then and there if they didn't react the way I wanted.
And just as I felt the first tear prick at my eyes and my hands began to shake, my hope was then fully restored when the table irrupted into smiles and cheers.
"Well its about time" I heard mom mumble catching me off guard as she pulled me into a bone crushing hug followed by my dad as he congratulated both me and carter.
Then came my two teary eyed best friends who both looked the least surprised out of everyone else"I'm so proud of you" mell whisper into our hug.
"Thank you"
"I can't believe you were right" kells grumbled frowning at mell before pulling out a fifty dollar bill which mell happily grabbed from her hands waving it around
"Right about what?" I question eyeing the two suspiciously.
"She claimed she already knew you were pregnant" kells said
"Which I was right" mell chirped in with a smile
"So you guys basically made a bet on me" I fake gasped placing a hand over my chest dramatically"What awful best friends you two are"
"Oh shut up !you love us!" kells replied knowing fully well she's right.
"Damn right I do"
"Hey! what about me" carter chipped in with a playful pout looking cuter than ever.
"Sorry she's already taken" mell said making us fall into a fit of laughter.
The rest of the night went by in a bliss. Nothing much happened other than the continuous 'congratulations' and hugs I got from everyone.
I was now seated outside under the big tree in the backward enjoying the soothing silence as the cool breeze blew against me. Wrapping my arms around myself I couldn't help the smile that formed against my lips as I started thinking about everything from the past.
How far we've all come and everything we've been through
It was all worth it.
A movement beside me caught my attention. Turning my head I looked up to see carter smiling down at me."You okay?" He asked sitting behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist. A sudden warmth took over my body as I felt my heart skip a fast beat.
"Absolutely amazing" I sighed relieved leaning back into him. Moments passed by,just the two of us sitting and enjoying the wonders of nature. My eyes trailed up to the sparkling stars that shun down on us from above."Carter "
"hmm" he hummed
"Do you ever get that strange feeling like the stars are going to one day form an unstoppable army and come crashing down on us?" I question still staring up
"what?" he chuckled. There was a small pause before it turned out into carter full out laughing at ms. I blushed embarrassed as he continued . "Damn I knew you were crazy but this just finalized everything " he smiled
We sat there Carter still lowly chuckling at my question as I folded my hands with a frown angrily. "Shut up"
"It's your fault"
"I just asked a question " I defended now turning towards him. "That you are obligated to answer mister laughs a lot "
"First of all I don't laugh a lot. Only when I'm with " he added.
I blushed but still tried to hide it.
"And second of all I'm not obligated to answer all of your psycho question you insane little troll "
"uh..did you just calm me a little troll " I glared playfully
"uh.. Yes I did " he mocked"what're you gonna do about it" he asked with a snug smile.
"You ugly mole " I fired back before he gently tackled me to the ground. "You are so childish " I laughed as he hovered over me.
"only for you princess" he smiled placing a kiss on my lips before we sat back up straight.
"I'm getting cold" I announced"let's go back inside "
"But I could just give you my jacket and pretend like we're in one of those cliche romance movies instead " he smirked as I raises a questioning eyebrow with a smile
"Carter"
"yes"
Seconds pass
"... You don't gave on a jacket"
With a slight smile he looked up at me"oh"
"And then you say I'm crazy" I giggled standing as he did the same.
"Yours was completely insane"
"But it could be true" I looked up reaching my hands up towards the sky in attempt to touch it.
"careful" came Carter's voice"it could form an unstoppable army and come crashing down on us"
"Shut up" I Laughed before he smiled along and lifted me up into his arms carrying me into the house.
