Chapter thirty two

Alex's POV
Tommy shifts me a bit and knocks on the door. "Can I walk now?" I ask him starting up at his beautiful eyes. "No." He hasn't talked much since he picked me up. I start to doze off into his chest and eventually fall into a very deep sleep. I wake up when Herc starts to yell and the twins wake up to the noise. "I'm gonna kill Lee." Herc grumbles. "I'll try to calm him down. Not that Lee deserves time doing that; I want to keep my fiancé from ending up in prison for life." Laf looks at Thomas, Tommy is obviously still furious and Laf notices. I don't think either of them realized that I was awake. I look up at Thomas. He's obviously mad at me, he  won't look at me. I start to stand up but Thomas pushed me down. I hear a door open and Thomas shifts his attention giving me a perfect opportunity to walk away. Thomas stands to do something as puts me down on the couch. I wait till he's out of view and walk right out of the apartment, closing the door behind me quietly. I don't know where I'll go for the time being, I just know I need to pay the babysitter then grab Luna.

Laf's POV
Thomas turns around after cooling off to go apologize to Alex for the way he acted. Thomas comes back a minute later looking horrified. "I left them... on the couch.. a-and... and t-they... they l-left..." He has tears in his eyes as he says this quietly. "They'll be back soon, I promise." I tell him; trying to get him calm. Herc hold me tight from behind. "Is everything okay? Where's Alex?" He asks kissing my neck gently, causing my brother to go into a crying fit. "Alex left. He just walked out when we weren't paying attention. No note, no nothing." I tell him and Thomas nods. "Wanna go look? I'll help out, I've known Alex longer than both of you." Herc asks and Thomas and I nod in unison. Herc walks off and comes back with Eli on his back and Rosie on his chest in baby carrier thingys. I have no idea what they're called. We walk off and Thomas opens his front door. "Alex? Alexander! Where are ya?!" Thomas calls with no reply. "Let's split up and look in different directions. They've gotta be here somewhere." Herc tells us and we walk in different directions then branch out to outside. Poor Thomas, poor Alex. I feel bad for those two.
