Chapter twenty seven

Lafayette's POV
Herc has a huge smile on his face. "Bout time you had a kid, Mulligan." He smiles and looks at James. "You're one to talk. You got the cinnamon roll knocked up with twins." He smirks. I blush deeply and Herc looks at me with a smile. Herc mumbles something and turns back to his brother. James hands his baby over with a happy sigh. "You love 'em to death but love to hand 'em off more, am I right?" Thomas says with a laugh. We nod as Rosie starts screaming, which causes her brother to start crying also. I stand up, stretch, then go to take care of my little ones. Herc follows shortly after and holds Rosie. "Bottle" I tell him quickly putting Eli back to bed. Herc makes one as I watch Alex pass in front of our door. Oh no. A storm is coming today. Alex has been terrified of storms for as long as I've known him, and probably longer. Thomas has been seasick forever, and I refuse to drive much. I think about my parents and it makes me cry. Thomas knows how I get. I'm still trying to find a way to tell Herc. "Get with what? What do you need to tell me?" Herc looks at me, calm but worried. Thanks brain. Now I have to tell him. "I'm terrified of driving in cars. I hate it so much." Tears start to run down my cheeks. Herc holds me close and we cuddle for a little while. We both jump when we hear the twins screaming. I'd be fun they said. You'll never regret it they said.
