Chapter forty one

Lafayette's POV
I'm so excited! I run over to open a knock at my hotel room door. "Hello? Who is dis?" I ask before opening the door. "Thomas. Open the door, we ain't got time to waste." He tells me then walks into my room. Eli is taking a small nap, I have to wake him up soon and get him dressed. Thomas sits on the bed then begins to work on my bed head. After twenty minutes he grabs fake flowers and places them into my tight ponytail. I look in the mirror and think it looks really good. Thomas takes ten minutes on my makeup then lets me get dressed in my suit. I come out of the bathroom where I changed. "How do I look?" I ask him. "Like Herc won't be able to take his eyes off of you more than normal." He replies. I smile at his response. "Want me to walk you down the aisle? I do look a lot like our dad." He asked and I nod. "Dad would've loved to. You can be his substitute." I tell him and he checks his phone. "OH SHOOT! We gotta go! We're gonna be late!" He yells grabbing the rings and Eli. "Thanks for covering the bad word." I tell him as we run to the ceremony. "No problem! Lets go!" He tells me.
Herc's POV
I wake up to knocking at my door. I open it to find my daughter. "Hey Lex. You helping me out?" I ask and she smiles. I let her in and Rosie wakes up. "Daddy! You and Mama are getting married today!" She looks up at me with a gleaming smile. "Yep. Are you excited to be the flower girl?" I ask her. "Uh Huh!" She tells me with a smile just like her father's. I hear Alex wince in pain and look over to her. "Is everything okay, Lex?" I ask. "Yeah, the baby kicks really hard and it hurts." She is obviously in serious pain as she tells me this. "We need to get you two ready. Come on." She says and walks to the closet to grab my tux and Rosalee's dress. "Come here my fellow short stack. I hope you can put on your clothes by yourself, Herc." Alex says and helps Rosie get changed. I put on my tux and return for whatever Alex has planned now. "Makeup! I'm not doing much on Rosie, no purple lipstick for her today." She tells me and uses dark shades for me to match my skin and lighter tones for Rosie. The pink shadow looks really good on my baby petal. "You two ready?" Alex asks us as she holds Rosie's hand while we walk to the spot where the ceremony is happening. "Yeah. I'm nervous but ready." I tell her and take a deep breath. "You got this. Deep breaths. Hey Rosie?" Ales says. "Yeah?" Petal asks. "That's not how you speak to adults. I'll let it slide, but don't do it in front of mom." I tell her. "Did you know that I've met your dad before he met your mom?" Alex asks. "You did?! That was forever ago though!" Rosie replied. "I'm not that old." I tell them and Alex laughs. "I'm still in my twenties!" I say in defense. Alex giggles. "Okay sweetheart, you wait here and Daddy will wait where he stands for a bit, alright?" Alex tells Rosie, and Rosalee nods. I walk to where I stand for the ceremony and wait. I see my brother stand beside me and smile at him. "I saw Rosalee. She is adorable, looks just like you. Congrats Herc." James tells me with a smile. "Thanks James. How are you and John?" I ask and he smiles. "We're engaged! I'm also planning on getting this surgery to help guys have kids! I'm so excited" he tells me with a giant smile. "Awesome! That surgery hurts like hell for a few weeks after but it gets better. Where is John anyway?" I ask. "Talking with Alex. They're really close. Nicolas is over there too." He tells me. "Who's Nicolas?" I ask. "Oh shit! I never told you his name! The baby I adopted! Remember?" He tells me people come outside to sit. Alex sits in the first row and looks at me apologetically. "She's hurting so bad. She can't stand the whole time so I told her to sit. I'm sorry Herc, she just can't do it right now." Thomas explains. I nod and smile reassuringly at Lex. "I'll see you in a bit. Keep an eye on Lexi for me please!" He says running off. "Aye aye captain." I tell him. Luna sits next to her mom and cuddles up to her. "Careful Moon! Your Mama isn't feeling good so be gentle." I tell her and she looks scared. "Will Mama be okay, Uncle Herc?" She asks starting to cry. Alex hugs her tightly. "Of course baby! I just feel a little sick! Calm down cutie." Alex tells her in a soothing mom voice. "I'll be right back! Keep an eye on her Herc! Be good Moonpie!" Alex says quickly as she runs off. Lexi comes back two minutes later and sits down. "Ughhh. Jimmy James, don't do this to yourself. Yeah, the miracle that is life is cool. The hell that is pregnancy isn't as much. Get tips from people that semi know what they're doing" She says causing James to look terrified. "It is worth it though. I'll never regret having my little Moonpie. Makes parenthood more special." Alex tells him with a smile. I hear the music start. I watch my baby Petal walk down the aisle followed by my handsome son and my one and only. Best day of my life.
