Chapter forty five

Lafayette's POV
Herc stands completely stunned. "Herc? Herc honey?" I ask him and he walks off without a word. "HERCULES! Answer me! Please!" I start to cry loudly. "It's fine. I'm just taking a walk." He grumbles. I start hyperventilating loudly; I can't live without this man. I stumble off to our room and sit on the bed. I hear a knock on the door. "Babe I'm not leaving ya. I need a sec to cool off." Herc tells me. "Can I go with you?" I say and go into a crying fit. "I'm still in my fucking twenties. Let's go drinking." He says. "We can?" I ask. "I'll call Lex. You get ready and I'll get ya in a bit." He tells me and kisses me softly. I walk off and don't look at John or James. I hear them calling my name but I don't turn around. James is bawling on the couch but I don't look. Herc walks out from our room, and he notices that I'm wearing one of his football hoodies. "Ready to get plastered?" He asks and I smile. "I was born ready." I tell him and he picks me up and I giggle. He jumps when we hear a knock at the door. Herc goes to open it and I follow behind him. "Hey Lex! Thanks for helpin' us out." He says and I can hear the smile in his voice. "What's wrong? I know that face! Who made you upset? What happened?" Alex asks and Herc sighs. "James hates my guts. He came here for help, got mad and... and... my god! I'm a shit brother!" Herc says starting to cry. I wrap my arms around him and hold him close. "It's gonna be okay! Your brother loves you. We'll talk this out and everything will be okay." I tell him and kiss him in the spot on the neck that he loves. "Wanna cuddle instead? It'll be fun! And I don't have to worry about either one of us getting alcohol poisoning!" I ask him and he smiles wide. "Mama!" I hear one of my babies scream. "What's wrong Eli?" I ask. I know that it's a nightmare. "It was scary! The monster came after me!" He tells me and I hug him tightly. I knew it. "Everything okay?" Herc asks and I smile. "Just a nightmare. Eli will be okay." I tell him and kiss his cheek. "I'll call James in a bit. You little mister, need to get back to bed." I say and carry my baby to bed. Herc looks at me with fear in his gorgeous eyes. "He probably doesn't wanna talk to me." Herc says and I shake my head. "Of course he does! If he doesn't, we will work this out." I tell him and call James on my phone. He doesn't pick up. "I knew he wouldn't wanna talk to me." He says and looks bummed. "He could be busy right now." I tell him and sit down on the couch. "Let's finish the movie, then get some sleep." I tell him and he cuddles up with me. Twenty minutes later I fell asleep in his big arms. Time skip because what can I put here. James POV. I have to take a pregnancy test after what we did last night. I grab my phone to see if I got any messages or calls. One from Lafayette. I call him back and pace the living room. Pick up... pick up! "James? Oh right! Get over here, we're going to talk this out." Laf says. "I'll wake up John and Nick then come over." I tell him. "You know, you hurt Hercules really bad with what you said last night." Laf says and I start to cry. "It's okay mon ami! Everything will be worked out after you get here!" Laf tells me reassuringly. "I'll talk to you in a bit Laf." I say and hang up. "Jackie!" I yell and he comes running. "What? What's wrong?!" He asks and I hug him tightly. "Lafayette called, didn't he?" Jack asked and I nod. "We should go talk with your brother." He says and I nod. "I have to do something first." I tell him. "What is- ohhhh." He says and gives me a thumbs up. I walk into the bathroom and sigh. "Can I be in there with you?" Jack asks. "Just give me a second." I tell him and place the test on the counter and set a timer. "Come in." I say and sit on the edge of the tub. He sits next to me and holds me close. "I'm scared Jackie." I tell him with tears in my eyes. "It's gonna be okay. You're gonna make a great mom. If it's negative, we can always try again when you're ready." He tells me and kisses my forehead. I jump when we hear a loud alarm scream. "Y-you check. I'll look after." I tell him. "Let's look at it together." He says and I sigh. I can't do this. I really hope it's negative. Oh my god. OH MY GOD!
