Herc's POV
I hold Laf close never wanting to let go. John walks back in after leaving for a phone call. James looks... jealous? Did he hear the conversation? THAT KID BETTER NOT HAVE CHEATED ON MY BABY BROTHER! John looks at him and notices the jealousy in James eyes. "Did I do something wrong? What did I do? What can I do to fix it?" John asked him starting to notice how mad James was at him. I motion for James to meet me in the kitchen. "What did he do?" I ask him. "Talking to his mom. He yelled at her. At least he has a mom!" James has tears in his eyes. I wrapped him in a tight hug. We both stand there hugging for a little while. "Is everything okay, Herc?" Laf sounds concerned. "It's all good. I'll explain later." I tell him. "Talk to John. He needs to know what he did wrong." I tell James and he nods in reply. I watch him walk off and motion for John to follow him to his room. They were in there talking for a while. It sometimes goes from talking to yelling. Lafayette noticed how worried I got and dragged me to our room. He sits on the bed and motions for me to join him. You can guess what happened next. Sike! That was the best back massage of my life. It's sucks that it was interrupted. "I'll leave then! If I make you so mad I might as well go!" John yells. I walk out to see John packing his stuff while James is bawling in his room. "Put your shit down. James! Get out here! We are going to work this out like adults!" I boom. See! I know when I do it! (Lafayette is reading over my shoulder as I write this) John put his stuff down and sprinted to the couch then sat down. James sits shortly after. "Now. I know what your main issue is. John, what is your deal?" I ask him, John jumping when I say his name. I don't get why people get scared of me. "I'm not allowed to speak to my mom the way I want to. James can talk to his mom however he pleases and criticizes the way I do. It's not fair." John looks confused when I walk off. "Hercules! Can I come with?" I can hear the tears in his voice. All I can manage is a nod. I can hear Laf explaining the situation as we walk. "They lost their parents from an intruder. It's a very touchy subject, I get that pain though. Thomas and I lost our parents from a car crash... Talking about parents is not a great thing in this household; you should really treat your parents nicely. You never know when you'll lose them forever." Laf tells him. I thought I said... whatever. I hear Laf tear up on the last two sentences. Poor thing. He never deserves the pain of grief. I walk out and hug him tight. I glare at John for a bit then carry Laf to our room. James is sitting on the bed. "Have you heard from Thomas recently? Alex and him never come out of their apartment and say hi." (They moved a while ago, few weeks maybe.) I ask and Laf shakes his head. I hold my fiancé and brother close. "I should call him." Laf tells me and plants a kiss on my cheek.
