Stephanie woke up that morning to a bright sunny day.

She turned in her bed to face her husband. Just as she turned to face him he woke up and smiled at her. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his chest which she gladly snuggled up too.

"Sleep good honey?" he asked.

"Yeah. You?"

"Yes." he replied as he placed his hand on the back of her head.

"I love mornings when we get to have these moments." she said nuzzling into his chest. 

"Me too. I feel safe here. We can have these mornings worry free." he said. They laid there for a while. Just enjoying being together. Then a knock on the door interrupted them.

"Matt? Steph? You awake? It's time for breakfast." said Ashlen on the other side.

"Yah were awake sweetie. Will be out in a minute. You can head on down if you want too." said Stephanie.

"Okay. I'll bring back your food." she said. They heard the apartment door open and close.

"She like our daughter by this point. Isn't she?" said Steph.

"Yeah, she really is."

"You know her birthday is coming up. I'll ask her if she wants anything today since it's Saturday and we both have the day off."

"Okay that sounds good. I have guard duty at noon. I'll come home after that and help out.'' he said.

"That sounds great. Maybe someone could... Cou--uuugh." she put her hand over mouth as she gagged. She sat up slightly then gagged again.

"Steph?'' asked Matt in a concerned voice putting his hand on her back. Then Steph got a wide eyed look and ran for the sink gagging the whole way with Matthew following her. She got to the sink and immediately started throwing up. Matthew held back her hair and rubbed her back until she finished. When she finished she turned on the faucet and washed all the vomit away. She wiped her mouth then leaned back against her husband as he wrapped his arm around her and stroked her forehead.

"You okay honey?" he asked in a soft voice.

"I don't know. I mean I know I just threw up and I feel like I have a stomach ache, but other than that I feel fine." she said. Matthew stopped stroking her forehead and put the back of his hand to it to check for a fever.

"You don't feel warm. Maybe it was something you ate." he said

"Yeah probably. I'll put my breakfast in the fridge and eat it later. I kinda want to go back to sleep now."

"Okay honey. I'll be out here." he said. He kissed her forehead and she walked back into their room and went back to sleep.

Ashlen got back thirty minutes later.

"Hey Matt. Wheres Steph?" she asked setting the food down on the counter.

"She wasn't feeling well this morning so she went back to bed. Could you keep an eye on her while I'm at work today?" he asked.

"Sure. Is it that bad?"

"No. She probably ate something that didn't agree with her. She'll be fine." he said. Matthew ate his breakfast and headed out the door.

"Now remember Ashlen. Don't hesitate to have someone come get me if something goes wrong. You also can go get James and Patricia too."

"Okay Matt. Bye." and with that he left. Ashlen sat down on the couch and read Harry Potter. About forty minutes later Stephanie walked in.
