"And then you cast it." said Steph as she casted the line.

"Like this?'' asked Ashlen as she casted her line.

"Yes perfect."

"It will be nice to have some meat that isn't bird, rabbit, or squirrel."

"Mhmm" replied Steph.

"So Steph who taught you how to fish?"

"My Dad. We would go on fishing trips together all the time when I was growing up. It was one of my favorite parts of my childhood."

"Is that why you wear those things are your necklace. My Dad and brother used those all the time when they would go fishing."

"Yes it is. These actually were my Dad's jigs. Did your Dad or brother ever take you?"

"No. I never wanted to go. They always smelled funny coming home." said Ashlen making Steph laughed. They didn't have actualy poles. They had some sticks with line attached. They found some wire and used it to make hooks. About 15 minutes later Ashlen saw something tugging at her line.

"Hey Steph. I think I caught something." Stephanie looked over and saw the line being pulled.

"You're right here I'll help you reel it in." Steph pulled the line in while Ashlen held the stick. Steph pulled the line out of the water. A nice big fish came out.

"Oooooo. You caught a nice size trout there. I say thats enough to feed all 3 of us. Come on let's go get Matt." The two headed towards a tree where Matthew was practicing knife throwing. This was the same lake where Matt and Steph almost died back in January. However it was the same place where they admitted their feelings. Matthew was still a little nervous to go near it. Steph was a little scared but she loved fishing again because it reminded her of her old life. She also calmed herself by telling herself the lake was where she and Matthew told each other about their feelings.

They reached the tree where Matt was.

"Hey Matt." said Ashlen.

"Hey, you two catch anything?"

"Yah this big guy." said Ashlen holding up the fish she caught.

"Nice. So what do you say we head back." Matthew suggested.

"Sure. I'll cook and you guys collect berries." said Steph.

"Okay sounds good." said Matthew. And they headed back to the cabin. Matthew and Stephanie walked back with their arm's wrapped around each other. Ashlen walked ahead already collecting berries and other plants to eat. Then she ran up to them with a handful of plants and berries.

"What do you guys think of these?''

"Those look good Ash." replied Steph. "You know I am glad you showed us that book.   Otherwise-"

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!!" Steph was immediately cut off by a group of five men surrounding them with guns drawn. She and Matthew instinctively put Ashlen in between them, stood back to back, with their guns up.

"Who are you!?! And what do you want?!?" demanded Matthew.

"I would answer that." said one of the guys in a deep voice facing Stephanie.

"But I think the girl can answer both questions better. Can't you sweetie." he said. Immediately Ashlen's heart sank. She froze.

"Those are the men who kidnapped me." she said in a shaky, quiet voice. Steph instantly stuck her arm in front of Ashlen shielding her even more.
