Jared was so sick of it.

Every time he tried to hang out with Evan, he turned out to have plans with Connor.

Evan and Connor were so CONSTANTLY being all cute and couple-y.. it sickened him.

Evan had cancelled on Jared yet again because Connor invited him over.

He decided to go over early because he knew Connor wouldn't mind.

He had showed up early before.

He opened the door to his boyfriend's house when he heard.. moaning.

He walked upstairs and opened Connor's bedroom door.

And he saw Connor.

Having sex with a boy from his English class.

He gasped as tears filled his eyes.

Connor looked over.

"Evan.." He started to say.

Evan slammed the door.

He left the house and ran.

Ran to where he knew he would be okay.

He ran to Jared's house.

He knocked on the door and opened it to find Jared.

Sitting in the living room and crying.

Evan rushed over to him, feeling the tears spill from his own eyes.

"Jared.."

Jared sniffed. "What.."

"I-I shouldn't h-have cancelled b-because I saw C-Connor and..."

He was cut off by his own sobs.

Jared had heard enough.

"Evan, breathe. It's okay."

Evan's breathing became slow and more controlled.

"Now.. What happened?"

"C-Connor ch-cheated on me.." He continued sobbing.

Jared gasped. "I'm gonna kill him.."

"I-I shouldn't have trusted him.." Evan sobbed into Jared's chest. "I-It's my fault.."

"Evan.. no it's not. It's his fault. He doesn't see how important andbeautifulyouare.." His voice trailed off, his face turning light pink.

"I'm sorry?"

"Uh.."

Evan sighed.

"Nevermind."

Evan looked down.  "I-I'm sorry for bothering you."

Jared noticed small tears in Evan's eyes.

"Hey, Evan, don't go crying on me again." He wiped away the tears.

Suddenly, Evan engulfed Jared into a hug.

"I feel.. Stupid... I feel like I should have known..."

Jared couldn't handle this anymore.

"Evan fucking Hansen, stop talking about yourself like you're a piece of shit!" Evan flinched at Jared's sudden outburst, causing Jared to sigh.

"I'm sorry, but.. It just.. It hurts. It hurts when you're so sad.. And I can't help you..." His eyes welled up with tears. Evan wiped them away.

"Hehe.. It's weird. You care about me.. Way more then Connor ever did. But.. Why?"

"Because.. I..."

"Because I love you, Evan."

Jared nodded. "Since third grade."

"You can't have liked me that long..?"

"I did, Ev. And you're gonna hate me after this."

And he was cut off by Jared's lips on his own. He didn't know how to react. He wanted to kiss back but was scared to do so. After debating with himself for a moment, he finally kissed back, feeling Jared smile against his lips.

"..Wanna be boyfriends?" Jared asked.

"I need some time."

"Okay. That's fine."

"How about now?"

"Sure."
