Chapter Twenty-Two: Farewell | ✔
"Still, no matter where I go
At the end of every road
You were good to me"
You Were Good To Me//Jeremy Zucker ft. Chelsea Cutler
A month had passed since Rosalynna had left. I had to admit that it did feel strange without her around the house. Our relationship had been like we were just two ships passing for a while. We had gotten together after she decided to be a surrogate for me but right off the bat, we were already in drama and we never spoke about the drama. We kind of just let it pass us by. I decided to reach out just to make sure she was okay, and to set up a time to try to talk about shit without it being hostile. More or so the triplets explained to me that we needed to just talk. That we couldn't just waste years of progress.
Valentina started the conversation first, and what shocked me is she got everybody to the living room for an intervention. Weston, Jaxon, Oliver, Enrique, Ansel, and Victoria all were sitting in the living room when I came home. I was shocked to say the least, "What are you guys doing just sitting here?" I asked, laughing nervously.
"We need to talk about you and mom," Valentina started. "This whole arguing every day shit, excuse my language, isn't just affecting you anymore, Dad; it's affecting all of us."
"What?" I asked, still trying to process the unexpected family gathering.
"Literally, Enrique is going through girl drama-" She continued, only to get cut off.
"Don't call it that," Weston interrupted.
"My fault. Enrique was literally going through issues with a girl coming into our house fighting one of us. And I don't care if she's just a guest for now; she lives with us. Instead of addressing that, you guys turned it into a screaming match," Valentina said, her frustration evident in her tone.
I couldn't believe I was even having to have this conversation, "What? I did address the issue though, I told Veronica to leave."
"That's not the issue." Valentina rolled her eyes.
"The issue is that your son was going through something and so was I and instead of being the adults in the situation you both continued to argue and then gave the bitch more to say when you both brought up divorce right in front of her." Weston tried to explain to me her hands going everywhere as she spoke.
"I'm sorry to you guys. I should have kept my cool."
Jaxon, usually quiet, spoke up, "I am disappointed in you guys. I thought you guys had come so far. I didn't plan that gorgeous wedding just for you guys to stomp all over it."
