"I know I gotta let her go

But I'll always remember

Every hug in the morning

And butterfly kisses"

After a long deliberation on what would happen regarding the funeral the day had come. Waking up had become a chore for me a chore I didn't want to deal with anymore. And as I looked back at myself in the mirror of my room I could feel myself begin to break. I wasn't the same anymore. My face was pale more than usual, my stomach ached I couldn't even stomach food, I just wanted God or anyone to replace me with the two we have to bury today.

"You look nice." I heard from behind me. The oh so familiar voice of Rosalynna says coming closer. She moved in front of me fixing my slanted tie.

"Thanks." I said, as per Valentinas request she had written if her parents outlived her that she wanted them to white with red ties and red bottom shoes. She wanted her siblings to wear white but with pale pink ties. And she wanted the rest of the guests to wear red with the option of pink or white ties. Valentines always had this organized aura about her.

"Everyone's downstairs for the police escort, come on." She says. I had been looking above her not making eye contact. I finally looked down seeing her curls pinned back. She'd rarely wear her curls anymore Valentina always complimented her on them when she wore them once in a blue moon telling her, "Ma you look so pretty we should take pictures."

Rosalynna was showing a brave face, but I knew it was killing her inside. She placed a hand into mine leading me down the long staircase to the main floor where the immediate family waited.

There was a blood stain on the floor near the door that my eyes couldn't leave. My mind flashed to Enrique was there bleeding on the floor. I had scrubbed and scrubbed as much as I could so he could come home. He was on a feeding tube in the hospital for a couple of days and could only eat liquids for a while. He had knee surgery so he was also in a wheelchair with a big ass cast.

Rosalynna tugged at me, my mind came back to the present looking as my old workers Raven and Logan came to talk to me. They were sending their condolences but I had caught the ending, "These are our daughters Lucky and Rosie." Rosie was born just before I decided that it was okay for me not to have workers in my house like maids the whole nines.

Logan and I had stayed in touch over the years but I had never got to meet Lucky she was the twins age, "Nice to meet you." I said taking Lucky into a hug and after hugging everyone else. It felt like that's all I'd be doing is hearing how sorry everyone was and expanding for a hug. Everything felt off, everything felt terrible.
