Chapter Eight: Better Person |✔
"I told her she should get an abortion and I really meant it
I'm sorry that I said that shit, yo I was tripping"
Forever // Joyner LucasAnsel Carson
Being a father was going to change a lot of things for me. That's crazy, me being a father seems insane. I'm not going to lie, I never thought of the idea of having kids, especially not now. Not ever.
I need to be responsible though but something about this whole situation is dreadful. Daisy isn't the type of person to spare you of drama, in fact she brings drama to your front door step on a silver platter with a bright ass grin on her face. Daisy and I would never work, I mean I thought about it because she kept the twins but we'd never work.
Like I said I'm not the commitment type of person, but I was willing to do that for the boys. But now I need to do something else for the boys and that's get myself together before I can raise them. I have a short three to four months to do it too.
I stood in front of my black full length mirror trying to fix my tie. My curly hair had been pulled up into a bun, I got my eyebrows done, and bought some slacks for an interview I have today. Today I would have skipped school to just sit in my bed but it's some sort of teacher in service or something stupid so I don't have to worry about that. I'm all set for today except this damn tie.
I finally gave up on that damn tie and went down the stairs to get my keys to get going so I wouldn't be late. Just as I was about to leave Valentina was coming in and Enrique was coming down the stairs. It's like they always know when I'm leaving.
"Your tie, I can do it for you." Valentina says, she tosses her keys into the bowl where the rest are and gets to fixing before I can say I'm late. My sister and I are actually really close, she was my right hand man and always had my back. Even for the small things like fixing this damn tie.
Enrique came down the stairs all the way to watch as she worked her magic fast, "Where are you going anyways, you never dress up."
"I always dress up."
"No you don't, you only dress up when dad makes us go to those dinner parties with the killers."
Valentina laughs. She was finished with the tie but was now fixing my bun, "They're not killers Rique you gotta stop calling them that. They're like mega rich folk, if anything they hire someone like dad to do the killing."
"You didn't have to do dad like that." Enrique mutters, "But really where are you going?"
"I got a job interview at the mall. Some place that sells suits, you guys can come but like put some pep in your step I don't want to be late."
"When's the interview?" Valentina asks.
"It's at like two thirty."
"It's one thirty. Why are you going an hour early?" Enrique asks, I was going to stop and see if Daisy needed anything, and stop at the baby clothing stores but I'm not telling.
