-Three Years Later-

(Elena's POV)

"Mommy!" I instantly woke up and looked at the alarm clock beside the bed; 4 o'clock in the morning. I looked to my right to find that Elijah was not there. I figured he must be downstairs talking to one of his brothers or Rebekah. He usually did that late at night.

Dismissing the thought, I jumped out of bed and groggily made my way to Konner's room. I entered the room and saw Konner sitting up in his bed, panting. Worry filled me as I walked over to him, sitting on his bed. "What is it sweetie?" I asked him, running my fingers through his chocolate hair.

"Mommy, m-monster," Konner said pointing behind us. I turned around to find Mikael, shutting the door, "Hello Elena".

I quickly stood up, shielding Konner, and growled, "What do you want?"

He held his hands behind his back and walked closer to us, stopping a few feet away, "For now, I just wanted to see my grandson, and I do have to admit, he favors Elijah."

I waited for him to continue. He then smirked, "I'm sure you have heard about the prophecy."

Yes, I did know about the prophecy. Elijah had told me all of it  I got very impatient and angry; I didn't want him to be around Konner, even if he was his grandfather."What is your point, Mikael?" I asked.

Mikael then smiled, "So impatient...but that is for you to find out yourself..with time." He then looked at Konner, who looked deathly afraid, "You be a good boy and mind your mother and father." I

then pulled Konner over towards me and held him tightly. Mikael then starting walking towards the door, stopped when he reached it, and turned around to face me,"And if you were smart, you won't tell anyone about what happened here, or I shall come for Konner earlier than I intend," and walked out the door.

I woke up in bed, gasping. Did Mikael send that dream to me? Or was that just a terrible, terrible nightmare?

I then heard a worried voice fill my ears, "Elena, are you alright?" Elijah questioned me.

I wondered whether to tell him the truth or not. If the dream was real, Mikael would come for Konner. But, then again, it did involve his son and his father, and therefore, he should know about it. I decided against telling him for the moment; I didn't want to risk it considering I didn't know if my dream was real or not.

"Elena?" Elijah asked again, his voice again filled with worry. I turned to look at him, "Yes, I'm ok. I just had a...a nightmare."

It wasn't a complete lie, it was in fact a nightmare. He just nodded and pulled me into his arms and kissed the top of my head. We sat in silence for a few minutes, while I thought about the dream once more. I began to grow worried.

I then whispered to Elijah, "I'm going to go check on Konner." He looked at me and replied, "I'll accompany you."

We both got out of bed and vampire-sped to Konner's room, across from our's. Speaking of my being a vampire, I learned to control my thirst very well, thanks to Elijah teaching me, since he was the best at it apart from his siblings.

Elijah slowly opened the door, not wanting to wake Konner, and we both smiled at the sight. Konner was fast asleep in his little bed. He looked so peaceful, and this made me very relieved. I then looked at Elijah standing beside me, and stared at him.

After a few seconds, he finally took his gaze from Konner to me and smirked, "Elena, you're staring once again."

My smile grew, "I know." I then looked back to Konner, and gently shut his bedroom door. I intertwined my fingers with Elijah's and led him back to our room.

So, here is the first chapter! Just to be clear, Konner, in this chapter, is 3 years old. Elena, Konner, Elijah, and his siblings live together in New Orleans. In the next chapter, Konner will be ten. And just so you guys know, the cover picture is Zac Efron as Konner at 17/18! :) (I know he has blue eyes, but pretend that in this story, he has brown eyes)
