Why Are You Here?

"Elena, long time, no see. Actually, the last time I saw you, you were still human," Damon rudely said.

Why is he here? After nearly 19 years of him refusing to have anything to do with me or my family, he decides to show up now. And I'm not especially happy with what he and Stefan did to Konner.

"Damon...." I said awkwardly and then my eyes caught someone slightly behind him, "And Stefan."

"Hey, Elena," Stefan replied as he put his hands in his pockets, showing that I wasn't the only one that felt this was awkward.

There was about a minute's silence before Damon sarcastically commented, "So, Elena, you must have a tough time with Konner, huh? He's...well, I can say he has slight anger issues."

Of course, Damon would only say something like that.

"If either of you threaten him or my family again, I swear I will end you," I spat through my teeth.

"Elena, we just wanted to speak with you," Stefan spoke sincerely.

It still does not matter; no one hurts my family.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked, folding my arms in front of me, trying to calm down.

Stefan was the one to speak first, "We had a....slight encounter with someone; someone you want to know about."

As I opened my mouth to ask exactly who they ran into, Elijah was instantly by my side, protectively placing a hand on my lower back, "You've got quite the nerve to show up here, Salvatores."

Seconds later, Klaus' voice rang throughout the house, "Attention! Everyone! The party's over- My sincere apologies." He must have noticed Damon and Stefan were here.

Soon after, my family, Damon, and Stefan were the only ones left in the house; for we haven't moved a bit.

"Now," Klaus said as he made his way over to us," Who did you manage to piss off now?"

Kol chuckled, "Who don't they manage to piss off?" he sarcastically commented.

Stefan ignored his insulting comment, but Damon, however, did not, "Hmmm..let me give you a hint. You need to keep Konner away from him."

And that's when I noticed that Konner was not in the room. I quickly shot my head in Elijah's direction, "Konner! Where's Konner?"

Elijah's eyes widened and before I could blink, he had Damon pinned down on the ground, "What kind of twisted game are you playing?" he spat through his teeth.

Stefan, however, did not make a move; he knew better than to aggravate us even more.

"Mom- I'm right here," Konner's voice rang throughout the house behind us.

Elijah let Damon out of his grasp. Then, we all turned around to find him on the staircase with Caroline.

I widened my eyes at the sight. Konner was safe, but next to him stood Caroline.

I vampire-sped over to Konner and engulfed him into a tight hug, which earned a slight chuckle," Mom, I'm ok. I was just with Caroline.

I puled away and looked over at my former best friend.

"Caroline!?," I whispered, still not believing she was here.

She smiled and nodded her head quickly while pulling me into a tight hug.

 As we pulled away, Konner spoke up, "Now that everyone's here, who do I need to styay away from?"

Silence covered the room for a few minutes before Stefan answered his question.

"Mikael."

Hey Guys- so I've had a bit of writer's block (It is just the WORST thing to have) So this chapter isn't that great to me. So, now it is confirmed that Mikael has returned!
