Konner's POV

"Konner!" an familliar, masculine voice called out to me.

"I'm coming!" I replied as I walked up the stairs in my house. I twisted the doorknob to my parents' bedroom and flung the door open. There, my mom and dad were chained in chairs that was covered with vervain. In the middle of them, stood an old man who was smiling at me. "Ah, Konner. Finish them," the old man said. My mother was sobbing while looking at me. My father looked at me with pleading eyes. I smirked and responded, "Gladly, Grandfather." I felt my my teeth,(now fangs), elongate and pierce my tongue. I then held my arms out and chanted a spell, draining the life out of my parents.

I shot out of bed and paced back and forth in my room. This same dream keeps happening every night; you would think by now I would be used to it. But I can't get over it because there is a possibility that my dream could happen.

It has been a few months since Caroline came to New Orleans and moved in with us. Apparently, her and Klaus were now an official couple. Aunt Bekah and Uncle Finn took a world trip about a month ago, and are currently still on it. Damon and Stefan had bought a house somewhere since they had chosen to stay in New Orleans. We are now on better terms, although, I get along with Stefan more than Damon. Why? Because Damon always seems to piss me off and he enjoys it. I had now only a week left until my 18th birthday-my decision whether or not to turn into an immortal vampire.

I walked into my private bathroom and splashed water onto my face. Grabbing the hand towel next tot he sink, I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I looked terrible. I had dark circles under my eyes and I looked like I haven't had sleep in weeks. Which really, I haven't had any good sleep in that long. How did my parents not notice yet?

My iPhone rang as I received a text message. I walked out of my bathroom and grabbed my phone, unlocked it, and read the text.

From: Gabe

Hey man-You wanna go get lunch with the guys?

-Gabe

I checked the time on my phone. It was 11:30.  Damn, I slept in late.

To: Gabe

Yeah. When and where?

-KM

Instantly, my phone rang again. It's like he's waiting right at the phone especially for my answer.

From: Gabe

Now at the usual diner.

-Gabe

I didn't even bother replying back. Instead, I changed out of my sweatpants I wore at night and put on a light blue dress shirt and dark jeans and just grabbed a pair of shoes. I put them all on and left my room and went down the stairs. I didn't see anyone around the house and hopefully, I wouldn't before I got out of the door. Right when my hand was on the doorknob of the front door, my mother came out of nowhere, "Konner, where are you going?"

"I'mgoingoutwithsomefriendsI'llbebacklater," I said very quickly as I walked out of the door, not even hearing her response.

About 15 minutes later, I was at the diner. I walked in and immediately saw my friends and walked over and sat down. After a while, I saw the girl from the party my family threw on Cinco de Mayo walk in and sit down at a table by herself.

I immediately got up, leaving my friends clueless, and walked over towards her table. "Can I sit down?"

"Um, yeah," she replied awkwardly.

I sat down across from her and said, "So, what  are you doing here?"

She shot me a weird look, "What does it look like? Can you pass me the menu?"

So snappy. I reached for the menu that was in front of me and passed it to her when our hands touched for one minute. Chills went up my spine and we both pulled back very quickly.

"You're a witch," I stated.

The girl shrugged, "Yeah, and apparently you're a warlock."

Then it hit me.

"Are you experienced with magic?" I asked.

"I guess so, why?" she asked.

"Could you teach me?" I requested hopefully.

"Why would I help you? You're a Mikaelson," the girl questioned.

Why did I ask her of all people? "You have experience. And no one in my family is a witch/warlock besides me."

A few seconds went by, "I guess I could. 7 o'clock. At Rousseau's."

I stood up, "Thanks..." I said not knowing her name.

"Davina."

I smiled, "Until then, Davina."
