Unexpected Visitors

Loud music rang through my ears as I stepped out of my room. I smiled briefly at my mother as she made her way down the stairs.

After, I made my way over to the balcony to watch the people. The whole downstairs of my lavish house was filled with all sorts of people. Some I recognized to be Marcel trying his best to get the bartender's, known as Camille attention, Uncle Finn talking with Aunt Bekah, Uncle Kol, of course, flirting with a random girl, and a few others.

After getting bored and searching the crowd, I found my father in the middle of the room downstairs. He was holding a glass of champagne while talking to my Uncle Klaus. I sighed as I walked down the stairs, knowing that I would be scolded if I didn't greet our guests.

I made my way over to my father, greeting guests along the way. Him and Uncle Klaus immediately stopped talking and turned to face me when they noticed I was now standing beside them.

I cleared my throat, and looked out into the crowd and spoke, "Hello Father, Uncle Klaus."

My father was the one to speak first, "Konner, are you enjoying the party so far?"

Not wanting to disappoint my father or my uncle, I responded, "It has merely started."

I heard a soft chuckle coming from my uncle, "Well, it seems that a certain group of people have arrived that will entertain you."

I turned to my uncle and father to see that they were both smirking, looking straight ahead. I turned my gaze to the direction they were looking in and saw three people just walking in, but then coming to a halt.

I smiled as I realized who they were and mumbled, "If you'll excuse me," and walked off in the group's direction. I thought to myself, 'This party just got a lot better.'

When I got a few feet away from them, they finally noticed me and yelled above the music, "Konner!"

When I finally reached them, they all patted my back and I exclaimed, "You guys came!"

Gabe laughed and spoke up, "Hell yeah we did!" Gabe was a werewolf and very obnoxious.

I grinned as Zach added, "You would be bored if we didn't show up."

Zach was also a werewolf; him and Gabe were brothers. I shrugged and replied, "True." Rob lightly punched my arm, "Let's go get something to drink. I'm thirsty," and headed towards the refreshments table. Rob was a warlock, like me, and usually the calm one-unlike Gabe and Zach. They are like brothers to me; I could tell them anything. And yes, they knew that I was a warlock and my prophecy.

After we went to get drinks, I was ditched by my friends. I had their girlfriends to thank for that. I was the only one out of my group of friends that didn't have one right now. They all ask me why that is, but I simply tell them that I haven't met a girl that I was interested in. Yeah, I always have quite a few girls trying to flirt with me and get my attention, but they were all the same to me. I wasn't interested in that type. I've been down that road before. Gabe, Zach, and Rob just tell me that I'm being picky.

Using this spare time, I thought about other numerous things, including Mikael and the prophecy. I just couldn't get it out of my head.

Pulling me out of my thoughts, I noticed a waiter with a tray of champagne was about to walk by me; I could use a drink. When he came close enough, I grabbed a glass and, making sure my mother was not close by me, started to sip it.

"You know, your mother disapproves of you drinking underage," Uncle Kol's voice rang through my ears.

I smirked and turned to face him, What she doesn't know won't hurt her." Really, my mother was being hypocritical about that situation; she used to drink around my age too. Besides, Father didn't seem to mind; but he backed my mother up with everything.

Uncle Kol smirked, "Hmm, I wonder who that sounds like; disobeying rules. Oh right, me," he stated proudly.

That's one of the many things I have picked up from him, bending the rules that is, although, I didn't do it all the time. I actually got along with him easily, since he was turned a vampire around my age, we thought alike at times, but that didn't mean that I agreed with everything he does.

"Why don't we go outside and have some fun? I'm bored," Uncle Kol suggested.

I shrugged, "Alright."

Uncle Kol walked pushed through the crowd and I following him. When we finally were outside, we strolled down the street, through the crowds and parties outside. As we walked, we talked about random things. A few girls would occasionally pass us and giggle, causing him and I to slightly smile.

One Latina woman sat at a table, outside of a house close to us. I noticed that she was giggling and staring down Kol. Apparently, he did too.

"Hola, señorita," Uncle Kol said to the woman.

This just caused her to blush and giggle more, eventually running inside the house.

I laughed at her reaction and patted my uncle on his shoulder, "Well, that adds to the list of women you have running away from you."

He glared at me and then came to a complete stop and smirked, "Well, look who we have here."

I turned in the direction he was looking in to find two men standing in front of us with not so pleasant looks on their faces. One had raven black hair and icy, blue eyes. The other had light brown hair and soft, green eyes. I could tell they were related.

The one with darker hair looked at Uncle Kol and spoke sarcastically, "Kol....how nice to see you," and shifted his focus on me, "You must be Konner."

I didn't respond, instead, I sent a questioning look at my uncle.

He obviously got the message, "It's been a long time Damon and Stefan."
