charlotte's point of view
i stared at christopher emotionless as he looked back at me with a wide smile on his lips. i looked from christopher to my uncle, then back to christopher.
"did you really just make christopher my bodyguard?"
"why not?" my uncle smirked. "he's one of our best agents."
christopher laughed. "don't worry, dad has more agents that will always have their eyes on you. i'll just be the one that protects you from up close."
i groaned. "whatever. you're on probation. i'll ask for another agent if you get too annoying."
i heard my uncle laugh as i walked towards the elevator with christopher trailing close behind me.
liza laughed at me, right at my fucking face, when i told her about christopher being my bodyguard.
"what's up with the good ol' confident you who wasn't afraid of nothing?" liza giggled as she finished her makeup.
i rolled my eyes. "first of all, i wish i was fearless. and second, in this instance i'm not afraid, i'm just preventing something bad from happening to me."
she hummed and walked out of the bathroom. she was honestly looking so hot tonight. she was wearing a short black dress with red heels, whereas i was wearing a short red dress with black heels. i promise we didn't agree to match our colors, it was pure coincidence.
she grabbed her phone just as we heard a knock on the door, who must've been christopher. we linked our arms and walked out of her room towards my car.
"i need to hook up with someone tonight. i haven't gotten laid in ages."
you and me both, sister.
